CONFIDENCE RATING / H2H NFL Tipping: Regular Season

The Main Prize Money comp. Each week the AE16 member shall deem to select his/her selections via the official AE website (coming soon- August), the winner of each NFL regular scheduled season game with a confidence rating of 16 (most confident) to 1 (least confident). Total score from each of the CR values from the winning teams selected will determine the AE member's weekly points output. In the event of TIED games (after OT), NO CR points will be credited.

***********************************************************************************
Please be aware that sensitivity of electronic and manual adjustments on the AE tipping site, touching on the toggle can easily trigger a flip over to the other team on any adjustments made after your initial picks have been submitted. Autosave has occurred on any adjustments made meaning that you don't necessarily ned to 'SAVE' after your initial picks submission. Please Be aware that NO liability towards the program / AE tipping site will be accepted.
************************************************************************************

KICK-OFF 'scheduled' TIME for each game is the deadline for submitting your selection for most regular season games but there are times when games which have a time change due to late season re-scheduling or a natural disaster occurring, then the deadline will be the new allocated timeslot.
THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL will be regular feature on this seasons' schedule which means FRIDAY MORNING for Australian fans.
************************************************************************************

Last season, PETERBUCH74, got one back from his heartbreaking 2009 campaign (Double Crown denied), when he snatched the MAJOR PRIZE from the very stiff STRIKER475 who seem to have had everything in his favour in the closing weeks. It come down to a climatic last game on SNF with the Lions and Packers to decide the CR Champion.

NO SHOWS / DEFAULT PICKS:

CHANGE OF POLICY in 2017 which considers the NEXT DUEL / DZE comps., like last year AE Tipping website will be PRE-SET to ROAD TEAMS as a DEFAULT for everyone with the 1 to 16 CR value running in numerical order sequence: 1 for TNF up to 16 or whatever the highest CR value on that given week is, for MNF. However, this season, there will be a MULLIGAN for the first 'FULL NO SHOW' (except TNF) where you'll receive the ROAD TEAMS. No wins will be granted for Full no shows for submitting opponent. On the second and subsequent occasions, the CR weekly total will be derived from the lowest CR weekly total of the poorest tipster MINUS two points.

This MEANS: NEXT DUEL results will be administered based on Submitting score vs the road team default final score. The Second and subsequent no show is an AUTOMATIC LOSS and the winner will be declared for the person submitting their picks.

A mulligan definition: ALL SUNDAY GAMES including MNF have not been selected meaning road teams are the default. There is no guarantee an ND opponent can claim a victory against a first time NO Show, However, the NO Show CANNOT claim a ND victory with the default road teams. If the tipping opponent scores higher than the NO SHOW default score, the ND victory will be awarded to the participant who lodged their weekly selections.

Partial tips submitted: Sometimes we have LATE games submitted only along with SNF/MNF. As long as there are FOUR HOME teams minimum of those LATE/ SNF/ MNF picks, the ND victory qualification will apply (read: GAME ON).

********************************************************************************
The order of default CR allocation for the Sunday early games starts with time and location with east coast games taking priority as the lower CR value. The last late game of the furthest west coast located will be the highest CR before the SNF /MNF games which are the highest CR value each week.

This Pre-set concept means if you forget/ overlook to submit your weekly picks, you'll already KNOW you have the ROAD TEAMS as a default with the 3XKO teams from the last games of the week being the SNF, MNF and another late Sunday game (if applicable to your 3XKO survival status).

3XKO (pronounced Three Strikes Knockout or 3KO)
Managed by BGT2110.

3XKO POSTCARDS from 2016

This next competition is a Knockout format. A three chances contest where you start with selecting THREE teams who you expect to WIN in Week 1.
To qualify for the following week, you must have correctly predicted at least one winner of these three teams. Elimination of the 3XKO contest comes in a process of THREE STRIKES against your name. A X strike counts against your name each time you lose a chance which includes a tied result.

Default 3XKO picks for your weekly selections submitted, if overlooked, shall be the last three games of the week being notably MNF, SNF and the most western located venue game of the late Sunday games.

NOTE: CHANGE OF POLICY in 2017 with limit to PICK FOR ANY SAME TEAM & AGAINST ANY SAME TEAM no more than THREE times during the (regular) season. I sense the Jets will be tanking and the Pats will continue to dominate.
full

Note: If there is an abundant of 3XKO survivors (8+) in December, sanctions such as TWO or THREE TEAMS to be selected to fast track the culling process. Week 16 will amount to a play-off OR showdown depending on the participants remaining.

It didn't have to end in a showdown last season for American Foe who only needed his beloved? Browns to just lose to the Chargers but instead.... the Chargers lost to the Browns..
full

Last season, we endured another 3XKO showdown as rookie AMERICAN FOE got the first bite of the cherry for selecting first against ten year veteran TGBB who knew it was gonna be a hard earned first AE title. Social media via twitter was the first to confirm the 3XKO Showdown result.

This competition is purely correlated
with the Confidence Rating comp. Your total weekly score is in combat with a scheduled direct opponent in a head to head match up each week for the first ELEVEN weeks. 3. Previous week higher CR countback score

DIVISIONAL SET UP FROM: 74

Last season, we had the winner carrying the monkey on his back of failing to produce in failed ND Play-off campaigns in recent seasons despite his five ND record Division titles. In a replay of actual SB X, it was Gridiron Warrior (Steelers fan) who was making a long shot after taking down serious scalps along the way.. but in the END, 2008 CR Champ, SVEN, hung tough when it mattered.

An AE first.. with both PETERBUCH74 & STRIKER475 fighting for TWO TITLES as a result on SNF could of pushed either way but in the end it was a TIE with scores DEAD LOCKED!!

full

HOT STREAK Managed / Concept by Broken
As stand alone comp in it's third season where the aim is to selectively pick consecutive winner/s without a TIE or LOSS breaking the sequence. The inaugural season saw a TIE between rookie American Crow from Ohio and long time veteran, Naked Dead Guy, sharing the spoils with 18 winners apiece in a knife edge finish. Last season, rookie KADOG, measured his run in the last couple weeks with some real delicate moments in Pittsburgh via back ups as STRIKER475 clung onto every hope of snaffling his first / double title. But it wasn't to be for Striker475 as the Browns burned him which allowed KADOG to clinch his first title without any other late finishing challenger.

Do I have to read the OP to get involved in something?
Won't be long before the OP is ready with the pending pics. *Photobucket being difficult*

Yes, BEST to read the OP so you get a gist of how each comp works.. look up ae16clubhouse.com if you like so it really takes you deeper into what to expect.

Strongly advise to not read OP but instead ask an AE regular to explain the comps, which they will do in five million less words and be five million times clearer to understand.

Wounded veteran needs to know 'how to pick a winner' without stumbling over his own words of 'ADVICE'..:p

Are these extra 100 people still on board? If so forget it. If not, in.

That VOTE didn't get ANY love.. it was JD's idea. And the Upsizing motion of the CR on bye weeks didn't get enough love either so... nothing changes on that front. Just speculating on the recommendations put fwd to me by a fellow administrator. Those who wanted the MAX CR on bye weeks can PM Gridiron Warrior and enquire about his 'seperate ARMCHAIR WARZONE' comp which consists of four comps I believe. It'll work off JeffDunne's AE website platform.

There are JUST TWO CHANGES to NOTE concerning 3XKO and NEXT DUEL default

3XKO restriction will return this season with the limit of three times to PICK the SAME TEAM & AGAINST the SAME TEAM no more than three times. I sense the Jets will be tanking and the Pats will continue to dominate.

The 'NO SHOW' results have been an issue in the past regards
Next Duel. On the first occasion, it'll be a mulligan of having ROAD TEAMS as the fall back picks with 1CR being the Thursday Night Football with the CR building from 2CR onward on Sunday early games with MNF being the highest CR of that given week. On the next occasion a full no show occurs, it'll be the penalty score of minus two points of the lowest scorer of the week meaning automatic loss in ND and disqualification from Drop Zone Elimination.

Instead of just posting 'IN'.. how about taking affirmative ACTION and completing the registration and posting 'PAID'.. ;)

Disappointed the max CR in the bye weeks vote didn't pass. I still feel the requirements for off season activity on those votes are too harsh and those that actually do contribute during those times deserve a larger weighting in their opinion.

Woodson when people sign up for AE this year tell them their voice counts in off season change discussions and if they don't want to get involved their opinion might not be counted.

Every year I give this same feedback and although changes do happen I feel the activity requirements are too harsh.

The vote is a bit skewed by those voting for both due to the multiple option. Should have been a separate vote.

People that are here and active in the votes should be given greater weight of opinion in the process in my opinion.
