Jesus. I try not to question (read: outright bag) other people's hot streak selections, cos we've all made selections this season that, in hindsight, seemed dumb.

But I'm blown away that anyone would've had sufficient confidence in the Bears to win, even against the 9ers.

Just five of the remaining dozen are Top TEN CR as the last wave of resistance closes in to determine who will qualify for the seventh season of the Ripcord Super Six Bowl. Eleven AE titles are spread amongst these tenacious twelve contenders.

With each of the qualifiers enjoying their week off as there was no Wildcard Qualifying play-off to be determined, it's all hands on deck now.

Conference #1 seeds, Bloods33 (1st CR) and Pedge7 (eq27th) will carry the weight of the #1 seeded curse which means No Championship title has emerged from the top seeds even though Moo was desperately unlucky to lose in OT to Dirty Bird of the 2010 season.

Of the Round 1 match ups, five are first time meetings. CR ranking after week 12.

LAMAR HUNT CONFERENCE

#1 Pedge7 (10-2-0 / 16th) vs #8 Superfreak (8-3-1 / Eq10th)
The John Randle Division rivals meet again. Pedge7 come away with a 65-55 victory back in Week 5 in their second match up after Superfreak claimed their first meeting in opening weekend of the 2014 campaign. There is a current difference of 35 points between them with Pedge7 sliding down to eq27th since last week. Superfreak has the momentum and is just 13 points short of the CR Leaderboard posse. Superfreak has picked 4 winners more than Pedge7 this season.

Woody's Line: Superfreak -3.5pts

#2 PeterBuch74 (9-2-1 / Eq6th) vs #7 PHX (9-3-0 / 15th)
This is the second meeting between the newly crowned 3XKO Champ, PHX, and the defending CR Champ, PeterBuch74, who took out the first meeting in the opening week of 2013. It's a 24 point difference as both found the going tough in Week 13, sliding back a couple spots. PB74 has been more the consistent performer (7 more winners) along with his proven track record that will have him the clear favourite to progress to the Divisional round.

Woody's Line: PeterBuch74 -7.5pts

#3 ChafingTheDream (9-3-0 / 17th) vs #6 Fuey (7-5-0 / 36th)
It's an all Cheesehead affair as both needed to overcome serious challenges in the home stretch before clinching their respective Division titles. Fuey has closed within 25pts and is inside the Top 30 now as the rookie is just nine points short of the Top Ten. Fuey has yet to claim a play-off from his four Division titles which is a grave concern. CTD has the 9 extra winners on the season which underlines his higher position.

Woody's Line: ChafingTheDream -5.5pts

#4 Bgt2110 (8-4-0 / Eq18th) vs #5 Billiever (8-4-0 / 14th)
Both provided some fighting qualities to clinch their respective Divisions in the most competitive Divisions all season long with neither dropping those close contests. Bgt2110 has had to contend with three divisional opponents inside the Top Ten for much of the past month yet sweeping his Division for the second consecutive season whilst Billiever hasn't had to fight as hard with two of his divisional foes in the lower rungs of the CR Standings. Even though it's a 17pt adv to Billiever on the CR Standings, one has to feel that BGT2110 is ready to take down a seventh Top 20 victim.

Woody's Line: Billiever -1.5pts

WELLINGTON MARA CONFERENCE

#1 Bloods33 (11-1-0 / 1st) vs #8 Broken (8-4-0 / 5th)
Hands down, the match up of the first round play-offs as these Leaderboard frontrunners meet for a second time this season, with the first match up being decided on MNF with a six point swing game favouring Bloods33 by a couple points in the end. Even though Bloods33 is 0-3 in play-offs, the consistency of the Rams fan has held up in recent weeks to give the indication he can notch up his maiden Play-off victory. But it will be tight.

Woody's Line: Bloods33 -2.5pts

#2 TCol (10-2-0 / Eq6th) vs #7 Jatz (8-4-0 / 27th)
The rookie who has shown loads of promise all season long has suddenly hit the skids and has lost ground on the CR standings, sliding back to 40th. It's going to be a tough ask for Jatz to pull off an almighty upset let along keep it close. TCol had a terrible week 13, tumbling out of the Top Ten which is a rare occurrence so I expect ND Beast mode to rebound BIG and make it play-Off win #13.

Woody's Line: TCol -9.5pts

#3 Aussiedude (9-2-1 / 2nd) vs #6 Prawnographer (9-3-0 / Eq50th)
Another first meeting match up as the piping hot Aussiedude arrives into his first Play-off campaign in the hottest form of all contenders, with a 114 point differential over Prawnographer as well as 14 more winners. Prawnographer has the perfect record (4-0) in close encounters, so there is a half chance for an upset esp if not many/ any upsets derail Aussiedude. Gotta take the in-form player here and lay the points.

Woody's Line: Aussiedude -12.5pts

#4 Starlin Castro (9-2-1 / 4th) vs #5 Born Again Idiot (9-3-0 / 20th)
Both had a stranglehold on their respective Divisions for much of the season, with Starlin Castro an even 1-1-1 against fellow Play-off contenders, whilst Born Again Idiot dropped his only encounter to a play-off contender in Week 5 (vs Broken) despite being in the group of death that didn't measure up.
The statistics favour da Bears fan with 30 points differential and six more additional winners but I wouldn't at all be surprised if this result goes down to the wire where Born Again is a perfect 2-0 whilst Starlin has somewhat buckled (2-2-1).

Woody's Line: Starlin Castro -2.5pts

Me too! I only picked them cos I thought it was close to a 50/50 game, but most people would pick the Saints. Clearly the AE consensus doesn't rate the Saints that highly!

Falcons were a 2.5 point at home on Thursday night against a sook of a coach. Seemed an easy way to go.
Picking double digits for a roadteam on TNF is the bigger head scratcher

Sodapop survived the DZE last week in the last Q of MNF after stubbing his toe on the 'Skins on TNF... so it's not exactly panic stations just yet. Funnily enough, after SodaPop got hammered by the Ravens who smashed his Lions HS pick, he went bang-bang-bang and nailed home ten Hot Streak winners!!

66% had this game low CR. Last week when the 'Boys bounced the 57 who selected the 'Skins... even tho' 77% had that game low CR.
Next week the Colts host the Broncos. Fair assumption that between 65-80% have next weeks trainwreck match up low CR.
