The thing with flipping your tip is that you need to believe that the team you're flipping can win.
If I had flipped I would've tied with PHX in ND but would've lost on tiebreakers I believe.
But had I flipped and the Pats won I would've fallen from 5th overall to outside the top 10.
I didn't give the Dolphins a shot... why else would I have put 16CR on the Pats!
No need to be laughing at people for not flipping their tip. I love how many in this comp get all high and mighty when something works, but bury their head when quite often it doesn't.
That's my 2c worth... go ahead and gloat for now :D

I’m not doubting your logic. However for those of us who are out of overall honours, flipping is the only way of getting a chance of anything anywhere.
Hell, I did it trying to get HRS a few weeks ago and failed miserably. I’d rather fail swinging that drop dead without a whimper.

Shit - the graphic above has changed.

So I didn't make it?

As soon as the Honey Badger picked the 'Fins, your faint hopes went up in smoke.. balmainforever was your roadblock.

Also, had either BornAgainIdiot or simonoz taken a chance on the 'Fins.. my side story of being akin to Kieren Perkins splashing on the outside lane of the Atlanta Olympic qualifiers would of sunk me outta contention. So a BIG THANK YOU for letting me qualify. :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

Yeah but there’s no skill in it. You flip as last resort not like all the other games where you actually pick who you think will win.

Never affected me as I lose anyway but it’s definitely a “weakness in the system”.

HOT STREAK UPDATE

With 4 weeks remaining the chasing pack had the Hot Streak lead in their sights? How did they go?

Bucketss Kadog & LicoriceAllsorts came in with streaks of 11. They avoided the first two games, but Bucketts liked the Vikes chances and then there was two. LicoriceAllSorts added the Cowboys and Chargers to his streak and also added the Steelers, as did Kadog. They both felt confident in the Patriots beating the Dolphins. Interestingly the Patriots were 1-3 in their previous 4 visits to Miami to play the Dolphins. Another Patriots loss in Miami set LicoriceAllSorts and Kadog back to zero.

camsmith iluvparis and pedge7 came in with streaks of 12. Pedge7 and camsmith liked the Bengals over the Bears and they were done. Camsmith added the Chargers before taking a shot on the Patriots. Interestingly the Miami Dolphins are the team Tom Brady has lost to the most times in his career. Another Brady loss to the Dolphins set Camsmith back to zero.

Oscarman and RedBullJunkie came in with streaks of 13. Oscarman also liked the Bengals and Oscarman went back to zero. RedBullJunkie avoided all the games for this week, but liked the Patriots despite those Dolphins throwbacks. Interestingly the Dolphins wore this uniform design between 1966 and 1986 and between 1996 and 1994. During that time the Dolphins held a 19-5 win-loss advantage over the Patriots. That uniform dominance continued as RedBullJunkie succumbed to this stretch of a fact to reset to zero.

Hide & Zeke started the week with a streak of 16. He moved to 17 with the Bills snow day win. And bombed out by mistakenly picking the Bengals.

be_like_mike started the week with a streak of 17. The Packers win pushed his streak to 18 and his selection of the Titans pushed his streak to 0.

fuey entered the week tied for the Hot Streak lead with crowman_23. Surely some savvy tipping would give him the outright lead. He avoided all the games for this week, but liked the Patriots in Miami. Interestingly, since 2000, the Patriots playing in Miami in December had a 1-4 record. That's now 1-5 and fuey went back to zero, but now shares the lead in Hot Streak with 24.

The top 10 currently active streaks all benefited from having made no picks in Week 14. swannies and Sven lead the chasing pack with 9 with sergios_realm with 8. Behind that trio follow streaks no larger than 4.

With 3 weeks to go in the NFL season, there are a maximum of 48 games to be added to a Hot Streak. Given the way this season has gone I would think that fuey and crowman_23 are safe. Interestingly, despite those juicy MNF facts I still tipped the Patriots, so take my prediction of the leaders being safe with a grain of salt and prove me wrong.

Good luck with Week 15!

ND Divisional Match Up Preview:
With the top four seeds unceremoniously dumped, Billiever steps up as 5th seed to inherit the highest listed seed in the Lamar Hunt Conference that is already telling us to expect the unexpected. The two time ND champ, Superfreak, is clearly the most dangerous competitor of the remaining 16 and with a first up meeting with the unpredictable Billiever who is more than happy to trail but be within reach, like he was his previous two starts, this could well be a danger game for the Superfreak, who ironically has his beloved Buccs hosting the Falcons on MNF.

Where to the intrigue starts and ends in this Top 20 match up is that only two points currently seperate these two on the CR standings as they sit a literal handful of points behind PHX in 10th place. With the statistic of Superfreak having NINE more winners says that Billiever doesn't waste many high CR opportunities when given a chance. This has the makings of a rip-snorter contest if Billiever can go blow for blow as Superfreak seeks to advance to his third CC.

Woody's line: Superfreak by 2.5pts

The first 3XKO champ, Fuey (24th) meets the latest 3XKO crowned champ, PHX (10th) for the first time. Fuey needed the Steelers to pull off a remarkable last quarter come from behind victory on SNF against the Ravens to get his walk-off win against the shell-shocked yet gallant rookie ChafingTheDream. PHX, on the other hand, played a near perfect game against the two time CR Champ. To score 100 in a week where the average was 69, PHX, was superb in controlling the tempo and outlasting a very credible opponent. With a dozen more winners than Fuey, PHX has a 40 point differential and his spell has definitely proved wonders in returning back this season.

Woody's Line: PHX by 6.5pts

Bloods33, takes on rookie Jatz (eq39th) for the second time this season, having edged him out by only 4pts in the season opener. Jatz pulled off one of the biggest UPSETS last week with a below average score of 67 against one of the long time proven war-horses, Tcol, who has lost his prowess of the ND Beast Mode in recent seasons (Win the ND in 2011).
Bloods33 has proven to be the ultra consistent performer of the season. His AE best 11-1 record has validated his class this season. It's gonna take Jatz a lot more than hoping Bloods33 has a stinker like TCol did last week, to pull of another stunning result.

Woody's Line: Bloods33 by 10.5pts

Starlin Castro meets Prawnographer for a third time (split 1-1) but only back in week 11, Starlin Carlin inflicted a brutal 80-50 hammering on the Titans fan. Prawnographer has managed to find new ways of winning despite his low scoring output. His Divisional title was won with a season high 119 score over Jatz in Week 12. Another score of 119 would give the Titans fan a big show against the 2015 3XKO Champ, who has been very consistent in his CR Leaderboard presence all season long. With 13 winners the better and a 107 differential, it's going to incredible hard for Prawnographer to outshine an in-form opponent for a second consecutive week as Aussiedude loss was self-imploding rather than Prawnographer's modest yet 'below average' score of 67 enough to get away with a fortunate win.

Woody's line: Starlin Castro by 12.5pts.

You do realise only 6 were eventual full no shows last week and four of them were rookies who are not BF folk. I'm not fazed about TNF no shows. Like JeffDunne says, TNF is a pain in the arse. Goodell is just not helping anyone with TNF. Players dislike the concept immensely so I read.
