HOT STREAK UPDATE

XiyrBvr.jpg

Lol, the carnage in Hot Streak at the Eagles-Cowboys game.

It's true. The Eagles loss wiped out 26 active streaks, but we also saw big hits earlier in the week. The Titans win over the Pats saw 28 active streaks go by the wayside, and earlier than that the Browns upset over the erratic Falcons wiped out 13 active streaks.

It was the Browns win which saw our first leaderboard casualty in Kadog who didn't add to his total of 19 and had to restart. bgt2110 saw the Browns end his streak at 15 and Bloods_33 ended on 13.

statsman74 had moved to the lead, and a score of 23, by the time the Patriots game came around and that's where the score ended as the Pats went down. Marklar_33 had moved from 16 to 19 by the Pats game, but their loss also took him down. balmainforever was another Pats casualty as his score ended on 17.

The Eagles loss to the Cowboys saw more good streaks come to an end. TCol had moved from 17 to 21 before the Cowboys win snuffed out his streak and RiggoDiesel44 ran out of fuel on 18 with the Cowboys win.

Despite those losses, the leading score of this competition grew, courtesy of Hide & Zeke - he successfully added the Chiefs, Rams and Packers to move to a competition leading 24
simonoz was level with Hide & Zeke coming in to this week yet only backed two winners (Chiefs and Chargers) to be one behind, on 23, where he is joined by JeffDunne who added three this week.
Behind them on 22 is 11sjw , Oscarman, who both added three for the week, and crowman_23 who added 4

Others with a streak of more than 20 are peterbuch74 and Demonic Ascent on 21 and pedge7 on 20

Awesome breakdown, fascinating stuff how streaks ended and others rose up the leaderboard. Only to have their own streaks ended etc etc.

Well done GG

In hindsight everyone erred thinking it was a given the niners would win. Both teams are 1-7 type orgs this season and it was pretty 50:50 really.

Worked out great from where I sit, thank you very much.

Glad to help someone else, as long as it helped me too :p But it's not like I cured cancer or anything, I just made a smart strategic flip that was a league wide oversight. Ok, well, putting it like that, yeah I rock.

Orrrrr we could say that you noticed I strategically flipped a week earlier to take down the week by a point when about a half dozen fell asleep ahead of me.

Genius learns from genius ;)

I’ll endeavour to give you a heads up of the ND Divisions (we got TWO Division champs confirmed) as I’ve already completed the Week 10 standings on the ae18clubhouse.com site.

At this stage, Starlin Castro will not be replaced as it would be unfair on him and his division opponents. Hoping he returns soon.

NEXT DUEL WEEK 11 SCHEDULE
PAT BOWLEN CONFERENCE

Divisional Dogfights (9)
BigRedMachine (4-5-1) vs Rashmanadon (4-6)
Billiever (4-5-1) vs Marcuz (4-6)

BornAgainIdiot (9-1) vs PeterBuch74 (4-6)
Burningleviathan (6-4) vs BeinPurplenGreen (1-9)
Gridiron Warrior (6-4) vs Knackers (5-5)
Hide&Zeke (7-3) vs WADW (5-5)
IslandBomber (8-2) vs McGarnacle (4-6)
ShinyOnTop (5-5) vs RiggoDiesel44 (5-5)
TCol (4-6) vs Fuey (2-8)

Conference Clouts (7)
Bloods33 (6-4) vs Jayzah (5-5)
Chism (6-4) vs Galactic (5-5)
Jatz (6-4) vs Bipolarbear (5-5)
Osmodiar (5-5) vs TheRedGoldMine (1-9)
TGBB (7-3) vs BabyGotDak (4-6)
Statsman74 (7-3) vs Arakaan (4-6)
Swannies (7-3) vs Raskolnikov (3-7)

Overall 11 upset results occured in Week 10 that has impacted seven divisions. In the Pat Bowlen Conference, there are three Divisions with lots of lip biting tension.

The Michael Strahan Division has TheGreatBarryB (7-3) leading Burningleviathan (6-4) but both slipped against respective opponents, Bipolarbear (5-5) and Knackers (5-5) as it’s three way race with zero room for error for Bipolarbear.

In the Sterling Sharpe Division, Jatz (6-4) holds a one game buffer over Osmodiar but unfortunately everyone lost which puts TCol’s 9th ND play-off campaign in jeapody two games behind his nemesis who only needs to overcome Bipolarbear and a loss by Osmodiar to clinch.

The Brian Urlacher Division remains a three way race after Knackers (5-5) secured a much needed victory over Burningleviathan to stay in touch with both Chism and Gridiron Warrior (both 6-4) in an immense armwrestle with Chism only holding the Division record tie-breaker.

Hide&Zeke controls the Marv Harrison Division by two games over both wce_all_da_way and Galactic (both 5-5) however, a loss to WADW who already has a massive scalp in defeating BornAgainIdiot by a couple points and a Galactic win over Chism can certainly open up the door wide open. arakaan is a still a longshot fading hope after keeping his faint hopes alive following his stunning boilover 84-67 win over the defending CR champ, Bloods33.

swannies and statsman74 are both 7-3 and clearly it’s a matter who blinks first, loses mentality. The Brian Dawkins Division comprises of the most wins aggregate from the Pat Bowlen Conference and even though Jayzah (5-5) is still a mathematical chance, he burned his chances with Divisional losses to BabyGotDak and Swannies in recent weeks putting him behind the eight ball. BabyGotDak (4-6) is eliminated unfortunately.

The Ed Reed Division doesn’t have anyone with a record over .500 but that’s ok, it just keeps everyone in the hunt as Billiever’s campaign (4-5-1) has gone off the rails with three consecutive losses allowing each member to scrap wins in bundles as Rashmanadon (4-6-0) has done since a horrid 0-5 start. Bigredmachine (4-5-1) has stepped up in recent weeks and now is breathing down Billiever’s neck with only a sixth listed Divisional criteria of points scored against Divisional opponents seperating first & second (300-290). Marcuz (4-6-0) has the best Divisional record (3-1) but it’s what happens in Week 11 as the Popcorn will be layered in poly-saturated butter for Ed Reed Divisional junkies.
TIE BREAKER CRITERIA FOR DIVISIONAL LEADER
1. Outright best Win-Loss-Tie (percentage) record <Overall> PRIMARY
2. Divisional record Win-Loss-Tie (percentage)
3. Head to head record (if applicable)
4. Conference record Win-Loss-Tie (percentage)
5. Common opponents record (if applicable)
6. Total aggregate total against Divisional opponents
7. Most weekly scores of 100
8. CR Total
9. Countback CR Weekly total from Week 13.

With BornAgainIdiot (9-1) on the brink of a three-peat set of Divisional titles, it’s his Drew Brees Divisional title to lose with both AE heavyweights, #2CR, Bloods33 (6-4) and #12, peterbuch74 (4-6), on his remaining three week schedule with a three game break and #1 seed there for the taking.

TomlinsonDivision_zpsldgx0qbl.jpg

Congrats to the pair of PATS fans, PEDGE7 and ISLAND BOMBER, who have clinched their respective Division titles, Patrick Willis and LaDananian Tomlinson. It’s been a while for the two time 2014 AE major champ as a Division title has eluded him since 2011 (Fran Tarkenton Division) when Island Bomber reached the 2011 Earl Greasy Neale Conference Championship Final against fellow Pats fan, Galactic.

ND11_MartySchottenheimerConfPP_zpscnb8ocxt.jpg

MARTY SCHOTTENHEIMER CONFERENCE
Divisional Dogfights (9)

AmericanCrow (7-3) vs DarkKnight (4-6)
BeLikeMike (8-2) vs GG.exe (6-4)

Crowman23 (7-3) vs SimonOz (6-4)

Danielz23 (6-4) vs Superfreak (5-5)

JME (3-7) vs PowerRanger (1-9)

Marklar33 (5-5) vs Balmainforever (5-5)

Nobbyiscool (3-7) vs A11datpow03r (3-7)

Pedge7 (9-1) vs Broken (3-7)

PHX (7-3) vs sblack (7-3)

Conference Clouts (7)
Demonic Ascent (6-4) vs 11sjw (4-6)

JeffDunne (4-6) vs Kadog (4-6)

Matt897 (4-5-1) vs Aussiedude (3-7)

Moo (5-5) vs Tomatosauceling (3-7)

Oscarman (6-4) vs Woodson (5-5)

Showbag (5-4-1) vs Bgt2110 (4-6)

Starlin Castro (7-3) vs Camsmith (5-5)

In the Marty Schottenheimer Conference, four Divisions hang in the balance and most notably, the Ty Law Division carries the most interest as everyone is still in the hunt with two games seperating first to last as crowman_23 (7-3) holds a one game break over SimonOz but it’s that time of the year where CRUNCHTIME arrives with still possibilities for balmainforever and Marklar_33 (both 5-5) to step up. A Week 11 Divisional Powerplay between Crowman23 (4th) and SimonOz (11th) has virtual play-off qualities about it with only 12pts separating them for their second meeting since week 2 when Crowman23 claimed a 91-80 result.

The
Randy Moss Division also features an all-important Divisional Powerplay with Danielz23 (6-4) taking on the surpassing Superfreak (5-5) for their third ND meeting with their series split. nobbyiscool (3-7) is an extreme longshot still but needs loads of help starting with a Superfreak victory.

The Boomer Esiason Division has been highly competitive all season long but it’s come down to the Divisional Powerplay between the 2017 3KXO champ, PHX and the 2013 Ripcord Bowl III Champ, sblack. In their first meeting, PHX claimed a 92-79 result but it’s the unassuming sblack who has progressed the better with a Top 20 berth and 32pts the better than last season’s
Lamar Hunt Conference Championship Finalist. Woodson (5-5) is a remote shot at his first Divisional title but needs help starting with a sblack victory. JeffDunne (4-6) is already eliminated.

The stinging upset loss to GG.exe last week has hurt the two time AE major champ, Moo (5-5) a great deal, having already been swept by American Crow (7-3) who only needs one victory to clinch his first ND Division title (Mike Webster). Dark Knight (4-6) is remarkably still in the race but it’s gonna take a gangbusters effort to claim the Division with a brutal schedule featuring all Top 20 opponents.

The mysterious whereabouts of the 2015 3XKO Champ, Starlin Castro, who has been AWOL in the past fortnight isn’t a concern for his
Jason Witten Divisional foes as they hope he is safe but breathing space could be limiting as third placed Showbag is one and a half game behind after his tie against Matt897 (4-5-1). Kadog (4-6) is still a sneaky chance of claiming the Division despite his DZE dissappointment this week. Kadog obviously needs the Houdini disappearing act in Starlin Castro to continue and helpings elsewhere.

The
Bo Jackson Division has had one driver behind the wheel since week 2 and that one driver, BELIKEMIKE (8-2), is one victory and one loss by Demonic Ascent (6-4) before he drive home his second Division title since 2012 but GG.exe is a feisty fighter who can complicate any situation like he did done recently against Top Ten scalps of Moo and simonoz can attest. A stirring result for Demonic Ascent as he bowled over superfreak to stay in the play-off hunt. 11SJW (Eq22nd/ 4-6) can play a meaningful purpose as a chief spoiler as an allie for BeLikeMike.

GG.exe claims the comeback of the week as well as the redemption victory over ol’ foe Moo who denied him the inagural 2008
ND title after GG lead after the early games.

The role of SPOILER can’t be neglected with up to three fourth placed eliminated campaigners making sure their play-off hopeful opponents earn their stripes. Of the three spoilers doing the big damage: BeinPurplenGreen (2-8) delivered a costly blow to Osmodiar (5-5). Arakaan (4-6) notched up his second highest score (84) of the season to take advantage of Bloods33 (6-4) having his least productive week in a loss that has his Divisional title hopes hanging by a thread. Kudos to aussiedude as he pulled off a massive result in bringing down CR#1, Oscarman, literally eliminating him from
ND Play-off contention.

WillisDivision_zpsphuzlsy9.jpg

Making it back to back ND titles following his John Randle Division last season, Pedge7, currently holds the #1 seed in the Marty Schottenheimer Conference with an imposing 9-1 record meaning a run of 21-4 since late 2016. The only recent losses have come against the 2017 ND SB finalists.

This will be Pedge7's third Play-Off campaign (2-2 overall) after reaching the 2015 Chuck Noll Conference Preliminary Round from 9th seed (wildcard)

Tough week to pick. Can only see 3 or 4 teams that should/definitely should win. Only have 2 selections in Hot Streak at this stage.

I usually have no idea, but this week I have absolutely **** all idea! Going to stay away from Hot Streak this week.
