question to the people who only really know adam cole from NXT, did any of you bite on him not teaming with the elite? I'm curious
I knew him from pre-NXT, but I thought he might have been angry at the way he was dumped from Bullet Club for Scurll.
Wasn't shocked that he ended up siding with them though.

Sooooooo, how do you watch AEW week to week? What platform is it on?
Legally, Fite TV has an AEW plus subscription for 5 USD a month: https://www.fite.tv/join/aew-plus/

The cost hasn't changed since the debut of Rampage, so theoretically, a couple dollars added to that in the future

Dynamite is slowly expanding it's international broadcasters (i should probably find the table, actually) and I think they just hired a new guy this week in charge of the international stuff. it'll be interesting to see if they ever land a deal to broadcast deal here

a completely valid thing for Cole to be mad about, as it turns out.

This was basically straight out of PWG 2013 and Mt Rushmore, so I knew Cole would be in the Steen role, but not knowing his NXT run too well, I'm not sure if Cole ever did something similar there.

Like to wish WWE the best with their future endeavors.

I'm All Elite, feels good.
Started watching a lot more recently with all the lockdowns but yeah Bryan and Cole with Punks return have me hooked and ill keep watching. Still I really want to see more of MJF, Hangman and Sammy in particular as a big drawing point for me was seeing these guys I haven't seen before.

Still watch Smackdown as they consistently put on a good show but Raw is unwatchable. If anything this was AEW's breakout moment and maybe it will be the thing that finally changes how WWE do things. I doubt it will and honestly with WWE's history and crazy amount of dollars they make etc it will be far from the death of them. But it was AWESOME to finally watch a PPV of that quality in a long time.

some quick thoughts:

pre show match: good fun match. everyone got their sh*t in. Concerned about the prospect of a OC/Hardy hair match. it's nice to see the Butcher back

Miro v Kingston: great opener, i didn't actually think a re-match would happen for the NY show, so that finish took me by surprise. Miro's tweet popped me

Mox vs Kojima: love my new japan dads, Kojima is one of the greats. like the nagata match, would have been happy for more time, and I would have narrowly preferred to see Nagata here, but this was just an extremely cool match to see

Mox/Suzuki: i figured for sure that Suzuki would appear on Dynamite during his USA indie tour, I just thought it'd be in a tag match with Lance Archer. I'm guessing that still happens, but a singles match too?! possibly 3 occasions of the GOAT theme song, Kaze Ni Nare?! There's no way the dynamite match can hit the same heights as the match they had for NJPW in Feb 2020 which ruled, but just having this moment in the PPV slayed so much.

Baker vs Statlander: very good match, crowd was hot for it. I was surprised they didn't do a near fall for Stat following the OC spot, I think the place would have exploded, but they did for Baker's finishing stretch too.

Young Bucks vs Lucha Brothers: Bucks are the greatest tag team of the last 25 years or whatever. The Lucha Brothers have rocked ever since Lucha Underground started. This was awesome. I was happy for the Bucks to reign forever, but after the entrance for the Lucha Bros and then when Penta started bleeding, they had to win. Always love it when the Bucks get the thumbtack shoe out. Fenix's dive from the top ended up being nowhere near as scary as Fenix's running kick while on the top.

Casino Battle Royale Match: you know, these are what they are. there's a ton of things I would have changed around. The Riho thing was weird and I think a botch...? but if it means we just skip straight to a singles match between Riho and Jamie then ****ing hell yeah. I had fun during the match, loved hirsch's suplexs and red velvet's spear (Red Velvet and Skye Blue had a fun match on the special Dark show the other day). And this moment with Ruby and Bryce is very sweet.

Jericho/MJF: I think is where AEW's current reputation of actually sticking with the result of stips hurts, just like it did for the Bucks/FTR match that had the weird YB stip. I certainly did buy that if Jericho lost, he was for real done, so I didn't buy that he would lose, and i wasn't that invested in most of the match. It was well worked and all that but nothing we hadn't seen before from these two. The Dusty Finish kind of thing........not for me. But it got over huge for the crowd and so that was cool. Hopefully MJF moves on now. Honestly, it's hard to see Jericho's actual retirement run being anywhere near as fun and good as this run over the past couple of months has been.

Punk/Allin: This was kind of weird in that Punk was in control and almost kind of worked heel, at least until the end...? I'm not sure if I'm capable of actually thinking about this match logically. Punk's back, Darby bumped like a manic a couple of times and it was so cool.

Wight vs QT: It did what it needed to do, I was worried it would go too long but I kinda think maybe it should have gone on for a couple more minutes. It's strange to see someone the size of Wight moving around an AEW ring.

Omega vs Cage: I think the looming shadow of Bryan hurt this, and that the Rampage match was better. I probably need to re-watch this later on with fresh eyes, I liked a lot of it, it's just not a MOTY or anything like that.

post-match: amazing, obviously. I didn't think Cole would debut so soon, I thought he might have a month off or something and maybe debut around the time of the Philly show in October. I hope the Final Countdown hasn't been ruled for Bryan, I didn't really like the song. Don't know how Karl Anderson avoided bumping for Bryan and poor Nick Jackson had to do it.

Best PPV I've seen hands down since Wrestle Kingdom 11.

Surely this is what takes AEW into the next level. Anyone who says that AEW aren't legit competition any more are lying to themselves.
Lets be real WWE is a huge company world wide with a 50 year head start with the network etc. The in ring stuff will be better at AEW, the production graphically etc will be more bells and whistles at WWE. One is pro wrestling one is sports entertainment. It would take a long time if ever if AEW got to where WWE is. For our sake lets hope this is the starting point that makes WWE change its in ring style to give us all better in ring stuff that we want to see but won't holding my breath.

If the bar gets raised from AEW and WWE react and raise it again we are all better off for it just like the Monday Night Wars it was awesome to watch both WWF and WCW it is just a shame that WCW were so hell bent on beating WWF in the ratings that it lead to some shitty calls that on set the demise. Healthy competition that raises the bar in this day and age will be exactly what it needs because there is zero chance of WWE crushing or buying out AEW.
