Proven himself for 6 games in a COVID year.

Good to see Chris Hall in the side.
Well at least he has the potential to become a decent player.

Frampton won't make it imo.

May as well get games into Berg or RT.

Berg wouldn't be the answer.

People got sucked in big time last year.
How so?

Now good form is a figment of everyone's imagination but it is OK to justify the ordinary form of the incumbent.

No he doesn't. Not does Billy, but it saves Thilthorpe from rucking in the early years

Get games into the kid instead.

Charlie Dixon was an AA last year, so was DBJ.

Last year's form is last year, Berg is struggling at SANFL level.

So now we are picking professional decoys?

What happens when Tex is well held & doesn't kick a bag...
You know better than the coaches who are satisfied with what he's doing?

Maybe go look at the presser I posted a couple of pages ago.

Different story if Himmelberg was knocking the door down....He's not!

We are in rebuild mode & playing players who won't make it.

Compare to tonight & there 3 1st year talls giving it a fair crack.

We missed a great opportunity to play Worrell 2 weeks ago instead of Mackay... & now we missed another great opportunity to debut Thilthorpe against the worst team.

We are in rebuild mode which should mean fast tracking our young best talent.

So you are honestly happy with Frampton's form?

Do you really believe everything coaches say?

Playing kids doesn't mean Himmelberg, it does mean Worrell who needs to play and RT.

If Berg has a good day against West then let's have a look

Like I said the coaches are obviously satisfied and unlike us they know his KPI's.

Meanwhile Himmelberg obviously hasn't met their KPI's.

You didn't answer whether you are satisfied with his form....

He's at least bringing the ball to ground for the smalls when he's not marking and it's pretty clear we're using Tex with our forward entries where possible.

Maybe if Himmelberg pulled his digit out of his ass and at least showed some urgency and at least looked interested the selectors might look favourably on him....Until then...

Anything to avoid playing youth in a rebuild.

But he's talking about Himmelberg, who is neither youth or very good.
No, I wanted Thilthorpe. Was in my named team & mentioned it all week as a great opportunity to debut against the spooners.

Only when he was named in the sanfl side & Berg wasn't, that I have mentioned that I would play him over Frampron.

Agree with your first part, 2nd part is shuffling deck chairs.

I understand we need keep some experience in the side... but in rebuild mode, would Worrell have offered much less than Mackay & would Thilthorpe offer much less than Frampton?

We need to have an eye to the future by fast tracking our quality young talent.

Not in Nicks' eyes if you listen to his presser, he's been fulfilling the role they have set for him, the only reference he made was he'd like to see him stick more of his marks. Pretty obvious he's Tex's decoy from listening to the presser.
I've had a feeling that Nicks is a bit of a fan of Frampton from their Port days and sees some level of unfilled potential there. Not sure if I agree, but may as well find out way one or the other. Can he be a starting piece or just full-time depth.

I'm guessing they still don't see him being physically ready for AFL given last year's issues and it's less about just getting him ready for his debut game, but getting him ready so he can play a large block of games.

Exciting watching the 2 young 1st year, 1st round Essendon talls this week... but thinking what could have been for us.

Shouldn't waste your time worrying about what other draftees are doing, just cause they're playing now doesn't mean a lot in the grand scheme of things.
True... but I have a right to be worried about our selection policy in rebuild mode missing opportunities to give games to our young talent.
