Well, in my opinion, there's Ablett and then everyone else in the midfield.

I SHOULD go a key defender, just to throw a cat amongst the pidgeons.

But instead, I'm going to pick someone who was slow and fat and lazy and not one of the top 30 players in 2009. But he'll be back in 2010.

Pick 5. Lance "Buddy" Franklin (HAW).

Clark is a bolter, I see why, but you'd hope he backs that good year up.
I know he is definetley a speculative pick, but a massive pay off if he does indeed back this year up, which I believe after 4 years in the system (I stand to be corrected), he is capable of.

Fair enough pick. Want to whack this in its own thread and get it stickied, KungFu? How you laid out last years, with the list of picks and who people were taking was FANTASTIC.

I'm happy to get the thread stickied if KUNG FU sets it up, otherwise I can just sticky this thread.

I chose not to participate this year because I've come to realise in the last 12 months that I really don't know much at all about football outside of the Crows :p

And why would that stop you?
I did it last year and you could see I had no ****ing clue about football outside of Adelaide's 22, and the All-Australian team.

well, with pick 6 I take this guy

That's Jimmy Bartel if you cant tell

Have we PM'ed ams4crows? Someone tell him not to slow the bloody game down!!

He has until 7.06 tonight.

If not, Colin can pick and if he makes it back before the end of the first round then we can reshuffle the order, if he's later he can have whichever pick it is at the time and resume the origional order.

Sorry to get all Nazi, been watching inglorious basterd....I assume everyone's cool with that.

1906 AEDT (NSW/ACT/TAS/VIC)
1836 ACDT (SA/NT)
1806 AEST (QLD)
1736* AWDT (WA)
1636* AWST (WA)

*Don't know if they still have daylight savings, previous years were only tests

Just had to put that there, it may confuse him if he's in WA, and thinks Colin jumps the clock if he puts his pick in after 1906 your time ,but it hasnt reached that time in WA yet.

I will go with Dean Cox (WCE). Didn't have one his best years in '09 but still carried the Eagles team to some degree. When fully fit, I have no doubt he is the best ruckman in the league and am hoping he can recapture his best form next season. :thumbsu:

I apoplogise for the earlier delay boys.... I'll Blame Girl Issues!.... you see around this time of Year Women flock to the hairdressers so they can get that perfect do/colour (for the festive season) most of the time it's by choice only a few are Forced.....I was one of those few... hence the delay. Sitting for 4 hours in a chair with Al-foil in your hair apparently is woth $100! fancy that!

No worries, ams, though we nearly gave you Matthew Smith out of spite.

To keep the game flowing, I will try and get back on after survivor and take my 2 picks. Hopefully Kung Fu gets on tonight and takes his pick.

11. Adam Cooney

Wasn't expecting to go for a midfielder here, but everyone went so hard for the rucks and KPFs, which is usually a good tactic in this game. But I'm not going to reach at this stage and just go for best available in my eyes. Already a Brownlow Medallist, perhaps controversially, but there are few players in the game who have the rare combination of X-factor and consistent output touch of Cooney. He did have his 2009 undermined by injury, but he should be back and firing this year.
