Fair enough pick. Want to whack this in its own thread and get it stickied, KungFu? How you laid out last years, with the list of picks and who people were taking was FANTASTIC.

Cheers mate, good to know its appreciated. Will do.

you'll be able to play

you got in before the end of the 1st round so there wont be any complications

all you've done is made it more challangeing and possibly more fun at the end of the game.

The more the better :)

(but once the 1st round is completed it will be unlikely anyone else will be allowed in)

It should be ok.

just have to make sure c98 sees it first so he doesnt pick 2 people

CROWS98, WE HAVE SOMEONE NEW IN THE GAME, ONLY PICK ONE PLAYER NOW

oh so we reverse the order after each round? right gottch ya!

so Is it easier to pick from the middle as there always the same amount of picks between each of your picks or at the ends when you get a few picks in quick succsession but there's a long wait in between till your next picks?

I'm actually a fan of the double pick, you know who's available and can go tall/small etc.
I was #2/#9 last year and I hated being at the ends and beginnings of the round.

I hated it because if there is one player you really want, but are unsure he'll be around for your next pick you may have to take reaches to ensure you got them, I knew it was too early for them (Lynch, Johnson, Brennan and Blake) but if I had to wait just about 2 whole rounds I wouldn't of been suprised if any of them got taken.

The only thing I liked about it was having the picks so close together so you can get the picks out of the way quickly.

And on a side note. **** you whoever had the last 3 picks, Judd, Selwood and Cooney were the 3 I was hoping would slip to me in the 2nd round while I expected you guys to select all these KPP, I have 2 other player in mind atm, but if any of you guys take them, im going to be very pissed off

Well I already know who I'm gonna take with my very very last selection :p
Brodie Martin?

last year I knew Burton would be available late, so I took him last knowing that the game was for the whole season, so if Burton came back and dominated he would of been well worth the gamble, and if he didn't who cares, it was 30th pick afterall.

With pick 12 I select Kurt Tippett

By the end of 2010 he will be a member of the AFL top 10 players.

Pick 15 – Mathew Scarlett

I now have my 2 book ends. Tippett and Scarlett

PS. crows98 I was going to pick Kurt with one of my picks, you just beat me to him

Cool or not, I guess I picked them in the right order then. I didn't expect Tippett to last much longer. I was always going to take Tippett with one of these 2 picks and then you were added, I just knew he wouldn’t last if I left him.

Similar strategy to my two picks. CHF/CHB sewn up. I figure it'll be easier to pick mids later, I didn't wanna wait almost 2 rounds and not have any decent KPPs left

Yep, with so many over rated midfielders running around, picking one up in the latter stages will still make my squad look good. You won’t get a quality KPP in the 3rd round or beyond.

Yeah, that was my tactic last year. There just aren't enough KPP's to go around. That being said, you'd be surprised how few true elite mids there are ...

Yeah but a dud midfielder looks a lot more appealing than a dud KPP.

I promised myself I wouldn't pick a ruckman this early, because they undid my draft last year, but I'm going to go for 2009's dominant ruckman. The man-mountain became a footballer averaging over 17 disposals a game, as well as stepping up his work ethic, playing huge TOG and carrying the ruck without a serious back up option for most of the year, with Michael Johnson, Bradley and rookie Zac Clarke making cameo appearances.

16. Aaron Sandilands

Pick 13 - J Roughead

Jordan, right? ;)
