Argh! Higgins and Murphy were two I was certain would get to me with the next pick. They're both excellent options because they are genuine goal kicking midfielders, not HFFers or pinch hitting small forwards.

Pick 62 - Brad Ottens for me. I will be playing him as one of my forward/back up ruck. Very good pickup IMO.

Dangerfield went way too high.

I'd trade Danger for only 1 or 2 players in the whole comp....but he went high.

I was pissed at the competition for Bigs, even though I wouldn't give Ablett up for anyone, by god the bigs went fast.

I just went through all of the mids left, and I was so suprised at the depth of them. There are very few genuine talls I rate that are left, which I find amazing. And on Danger, there are far better mids/fowards out there still who are far better at this stage.

Yeah my thinking was if everyone is reaching for talls and I'm going for mids I'll end up with the better quality players and then get some underrated talls later on, but then people started picking the talls I had earmarked for later picks which has stuffed me up a bit.

I also think S.Burgoyne went a touch too high

you have to think eveyone know the game and the players you're not going to keep pulling awesome picks out of your ass you have to do a bit of research and plan... or try to guess/ predict who's gonna be there later (which is incredibly hard!)

Mitch Clark and Daniel Kerr went high, too. Only having two picks in twenty-six means it's hard to have a true strategy.

I think there's few elite midfielders in the league, maybe fifteen, tops. There is a long way between Lenny Hayes and Jobe Watson in my book.

Only reason I went with Clark so early is because I was unsure how long he would last, and I really rate him, so thought why not get him as early as I can. Hence I got him with my first pick.

I certainly did not pick Rutten being available at my 5th pick! I seriously considered a full back early on, but to get a quality player like Rutten at Pick 56 was a bargain IMO too.
