Hate my team. Didn't go through and prepare a list or any sort of pecking order. Was too busy the last couple of weeks to keep track of who had been drafted and who was available. Watching less football so barely know players 15+ on most teams anymore.

But I usually love my team and it ends up stinking so perhaps this is a good sign :)

Doesn't look worse than teams you have put out in the past.

Pick 574: Jack Madgen

Played 18 games, averaged 17 touches, Mayne retired, decent enough value in the 32nd round.

Pretty decent team in the end, but it felt as though drafting was difficult this year. Partly because I think people overall did well. There also seems to be a generational change in the elite players, with very few of them being in their prime. Lots of guys feel either a few years too young or old and not that many in the sweet spot. Have a feeling that next year's draft is going to be very different.

Pretty happy with my team overall, but feel I didn't get the same depth as I have in previous years. Probably a more balanced team than previous years where I've neglected a few roles badly (usually in the forward line). Went a bit older than I normally would as well which is a reflection of the quality of drafting.

I feel my team motto is Alea which is Latin for gambling. Nearly 70% of my selections are gambling on the improvement of a few players with immensely proven high ceilings. Cripps, Hill, Ross and Rowell, Plus Lachie Hunter is a proven ball hunter. Ben Cunnington is just a gun and if he can recover from his health issues could easily prove to be a massive bargain. The rest of my side aside from the established players is alot of young players on the brink of their break out years. Overall I feel I will either have a team that flops, or a team that stars.

On a side note, I congratulate everyone on their drafting. It was impressive watching everyone's strategies and really there was no real draft howlers.

My conclusion on the quality of our drafting is that it was outstanding. Everyone looks at their sides and thinks, wow it got thin fast. To me that is just highlighting how a competitive AFL competition would look if every side had an equal shot at winning the premiership. So this year will be very interesting to pick a winner.
