Excited about the kid - but when is the last time we recruited a genuinely elite, or potentially elite, midfielder?

Especially considering we just gave arguably our best mid away for SFA.



I would really love to know the list development strategy of the AFC at present; because I really can't see it what it is.

That's a genuine question; there does not seem to be a consistent or planned approach to trade week (other Clubs strengthened themselves significantly, we weakened ourselves significantly) or the draft.

What is the plan?

When is the last time we recruited a potentially elite key forward? Reckon it's a few years longer then elite midfielder.

It just looks like the plan at the moment is stockpile young talent, have a rough 2021 and begin to piece it together in 2022.

Hamish is a knob. Why the hell do we want Thilthorpe along with Himmelberg and MCAsey in our starting 22 , how many guys do you want in the 22 in key positions that run like dinosaurs. Seriously Hamish needs to go he could have traded down to 6 and still got Thilthorpe.

FWIW I reckon TT tanked it a bit this year. I hardly saw him at all this year but looking at his stats his games were underwhelming. I watched him a lot last year, he monstered big fat SANFL mature ruckmen at 16. Even in the futures game, he was just doing the bare min so there was a game of it.
