Disagree, Poor John did his knee and never really recovered. Had to retire, much like the great Barrie Robran. John was a terrific player though. Could have been one of the real stars of the game.
I hope the only comparison you are making to Robran is that he did a knee d

Im not. Im just saying there is some genuine people that follow/love/support the Club might not know much about it compared to others.

I mean you have some people in the AFL media as an example that dont know much about us and thats their actual job to an extent.
All the Crows fans at my work have been 11-game members for decades; go to all the games and support/cheer them on, but probably couldn't name the whole list to you or know what's going on at the club.

When you see this it's another very, very good reason to go for a tall forward this year. There's 3 key forwards in the list of 30, and one of them is 188cm.

It's probably been mentioned already, but I love how all our main draft players at least, have some significant campaigner about them.

Schoey, Keays and Fog have it too, as does McHenry who IMO is under the pump as much as I like his skill set.

2021: We have Melbourne's 2nd rounder, Freo and Hawthorn's 4th rounders and we lost our 3rd rounder.
So we are actually down on just having all our picks, considering where we will likely finish.

Clubs were only allowed to draft 1x 17yo that year, and there weren't 18 clubs back then either. KMac may be derided for not being Pavlich, but he was still the 2nd or 3rd best of the 17yo kids drafted that year.

Any player not selected last night has been rejected 70+ times (59 selections, plus 11+ passes).
So you’re saying that when Gibbs officially leaves, we won’t be filling his spot with someone who was in the draft and missed out?

So here's the past 11 years of drafts - we're now very much loaded up on those from 2018, 2019 and 2020

2010 - 1
2011 - 1 (2 if you want to include Brown)
2012 - 0
2013 - 2
2014 - 1
2015 - 2
2016 - 2
2017 - 3
2018 - 4
2019 - 6
2020 - 7

Edit - also quite something that all of our 5 picks yesterday were earlier than all but one of our 2016 picks.

Reckon Penshurst youngster Josh Rentsch 195cm Forward/Ruck showed enough as a 16 year old in 2019 to think he might be a big chance in 2021 even after missing important development this year. Definitely a name to keep an eye out for in 2021, reckon he's a near on certainty to be in next year's Vic Country squad.

Hopefully he draws North's interest.

Good video, more of that kind of thing would be great.

I did chuckle with Rooo asking the dumb questions. I was hoping he would be less hands on with this kind of thing.

Yeah I’m wondering if this is Nicks/Kelly approach to build better relationships with fans. Like it a lot

Lots of bald heads in footy clubs these days :-D

Given this and the fact that next years draft looms as rich in talent with SA kids (mids) inside the top 10, we may even try and off load any Vics with currency to get us multiple picks in the Top 10.

Wouldn’t that be something, minimizing the go home factor one year then using it to our advantage the next

You have these small opportunities in life to seize the moment. Im not saying next year is it, Im just saying that, I dont want us to look back years from now and say and we should have done this or that.

Only time will tell.
