Unfortunately with the AFC, being pessimistic is just being a realist.

I hope we've turned a corner there, and there are good signs (but not definitively so), but acting as if we're a better proposition than the GC given our recent debacles is delusional.

There is no way Hollands was going past Essendon....move on. At least at the GCS there is a chance to get him back. Thilthorpe is a good, sensible selection (was clearly 50:50 between him and McDonald)...especially given we have no idea how Himmlberg and Fogarty will go in the next few years. We also kept the Bulldogs honest which is great. The real issue for me is the academy system....Swans get 2 first 10 picks and give up second round selections they probably wouldnt have even used....
