Well we've still got to debut Worrell, Oconnor and Gollant. McHenry could do with some more runs as well.

Worrell and probably Gollant (I'm excited about him, though he's raw), are probably competing for different positions.

O'Connor and McHenry are certainly in that dogfight, though someone like Berry could overtake them very quickly seeing Nicks and Sam seem like a match made in heaven, at least from the outside looking in.

Ive already prepared a statement for Horne to make at his interviews at Non-SA Clubs which includes that plastic franchise at Alberton.

“I have (told clubs he wants to stay in South Australia). I hope they take that on board. I get that they do what’s in the best interests of their footy club, but I just think personally I’m not ready for that in my stage of life and I feel it would impact me too much,”

“I don’t think it would be in their best interests as a footy club to have me there because I wouldn’t be 100 per cent with it if I was going over there and couldn’t really commit myself 100 per cent as opposed to staying here where I’d be 100 per cent ready to go and fully committed.

“I just don’t think I’m ready for that and I wanted to be honest about it.”

From the graphic they look like they all play for South Adel, pretty fair effort and a lot of talent to lose.

Fair bit of genuine talent has just been added to our club.

Thilthorpe, Pedlar, Cook, all first round picks. Yes, Pedlar was seen as a bit of a stretch at pick 11, but still. Throw in Hately who will be here officially tomorrow, a former first round pick. I really like the look of Berry, Rowe is a goalkicking machine, and then Borlase and Newchurch as rookies. Don't mind the look of Hinge, either.

That's ten new players who are all exciting in their own way. Nine of them are SA boys, too. If we can turn, say, seven of them into long-term quality players, it will go a long way towards our rebuild.

Managed to do it all without trading away any of 2021 picks tied to us, too.

Ah, you're right. My mistake.

Still, none of our important picks. I'm working on the theory that we're likely to still be, let's say, bottom 6 next year. Nice to still have our first and second round selections intact!
