My understanding (and it may be wrong) is that he is the chairman of the Integrity and Compliance Committee of the Crows Foundation, not the AFC itself.

Not that it makes it a whole lot better, but that article might be a bit misleading in terms of the role he plays in relation to the Crows.

You don't think that in the current climate of the AFC that it is an awful, awful look for this to happen to someone who is involved in an "integrity committee"?
I didn't even know we had one, so why would I care? Unless people post on here, or actually read the paper, hardly anyone will even know about it. If it's the lead story on AFL 360 or something next week then we have an issue, but I highly doubt it's going to affect our image when barely anyone could give a stuff or will actually read the article.

Also, it has nothing to do with his role at the club, but his job at the law firm. Why should it concern us?

He held an important role within our club's internal governance?
So if he does something wrong within the Crows Foundation, then we have an issue. It's not the clubs fault he has allegedly done something wrong at his place of work, which has nothing to do with his role at the club.

Oh for the love of van Berlo, can you atleast try to think? Its not an issue of our image. It's an issue of how our club is run.
He's running the Crows Foundation, not the actual footy club for goodness sake. Surely you can see the difference?

He's the chairman of our integrity and compliance committee?

Look, I don't think this should be drawn as reflecting on the club either, nor do I think that we should actually draw any conclusions regarding the behaviour involved- the suggestion is that the matter is before the legal practitioners conduct board, and hence he's entitled to the presumption of innocence, even if he has resigned from his role at Kelly & Co.

This committee is part of the ATO compliance to have charitable status and be listed on the deductible gift registry.

It's not a very active position within the foundation.

I must admit, I've read the article as suggesting the role was within the club itself. I'm happy to defer to what seems to be your superior knowledge of the field.

Why do the Adelaide Crows have a foundation?

The Adelaide Crows are a socially responsible organisation committed to helping the South Australian community, in particular children in need. In order to maintain a strong focus on South Australian children in need, the Adelaide Crows decided to establish a Foundation - separate to that of Club operating activities. The Crows Foundation was formed to maintain and build this strong focus on South Australian children to ensure that the community who supports the Club are in turn supported by the Club. The Crows Foundation is a separate entity to the Adelaide Football Club and is overseen by a separate Board of Directors.

Are you deliberately trying to come across as a bit of a dill?
