Griffin definitely has another year to go on his contract.

Also I'm pretty sure that Douglas was recently given an extension - not sure whether it was 1 or 2 years though. I'm thinking that it was 1.

Happy to add him if you know where he fits on the lists.

Nah I don't - but I want to know!
Although, I'm pretty sure he's signed until 2010 because they wouldn't have given him a 3 year deal when he first came over.

Equally likely that they only gave him a 1-year deal, which has since been quietly renewed without any public fanfare.

According to this article, there are 26 Crows who are out of contract at the end of 2010.

These players include:
Scott Thompson (GC target)
Nathan Bock
Ben Rutten
Patrick Dangerfield
David Mackay
Richard Douglas

It would also include the veterans, who are all on 1-year contracts. It also includes all 7 of our rookies. Phil Harper is at pains to make the point that it's fairly normal to have 1/2 the list coming out of contract every year, noting that most players are on 2-year contracts.

The primary focus of the article is on Thompson, who is out of contract and is apparently Adelaide's biggest GC target (now that Tippett is off the table). There's no mention of any possible move back to Melbourne. The club seem fairly certain that he'll re-sign, making the point that Thompson's management was yet "to give us any reason why he won't stay".

The article also states that Dangermouse's manager has put off contract talks until June. I can see why this would be a good idea for the player. Firstly, it gives him more time to impress the club, thus raising his own value. It also gives more time for the picture to become clearer regarding the fates of our older players - and hence the size of the pie from which Dangermouse will be seeking a decent slice. The article makes it very clear that there are NO indications that Dangermouse will be leaving the club.

...and I only just realised that Mackay is not yet 22. Wow.

Virtually same age as Travis Boak and IMO not much difference in the quality of their performances to date, yet Boak seems to be overhyped (didnt they say on tv last week that he has asked for new contract making him highest paid player at Power? )

Boak had to carry a bit more of a load and had bit more output to date. Don't disagree he's been overhyped a tad but I'd say he's ahead of DMac at this point of their careers.

And when I say ahead I'm suggesting GC/GWS would likely target Boak before DMac if both avaialble.

Sloane and Petrenko have each signed 2 year deals to the end of 2012 that haven't been updated.
Didn't add them at the time because the duration of their contract wasn't confirmed (and still hasn't been). Have now added them to the list, with a (?) next to their name, denoting the lack of certainty regarding the length of their contracts.

Could have sworn I saw two years somewhere?

Oh well, c'est la vie.

Interesting to see Moran and Jacky's status. You'd think both would be in hot water but for having an extra year on the contract.

Having the extra year + all the retirements + the new rookie upgrade rule + the diluted draft might save their bacon.

Sloane and Petrenko

ADELAIDE has re-signed two of its most promising young players, with Rory Sloane and Jared Petrenko both agreeing to new deals with the club.

The 20-year-old Sloane has played nine games for the Crows since being selected with pick No.44 in the 2008 NAB AFL Draft.

The tough onballer kicked two crucial goals in the Adelaide’s upset win over Geelong last Friday night, and has already been earmarked as a future leader.

I think Jacky signed a contract last year. I'm not sure about Moran.
When does Porplyzia's contract run out?
