Some nice plays in here:
Probably booing them because they kicked it for the oppositionThat Jones goal
That McAdam goal
Where will you be when that happens at Adelaide Oval in front of 50,000?
If we are taking 28 players up for the Gold Coast game, then the SANFL team is going to get thumped. Not fussed, just saying.
Midfielder/forward Riley Knight, young forwards Elliott Himmelberg and Ben Davis, veteran defender Andy Ottenand experienced ruckman Sam Jacobs were also part of the travelling party at Adelaide Airport on Wednesday morning, but there was no room in the 28-player squad for midfielder Bryce Gibbs.

2 of them will fly back Friday, probably 4.I understand the purpose of the Adelaide Crows SANFL side is designed around player development however, it would be very disappointing for the entire club, players, supporters, training staff and top up players tonot give them every chance to try and win the flag.
Looking at the selection and who has gone up to the Gold Coast, we will once again get belted by the Port Adelaide Magpies in the SANFL local Showdown.
Some of them put everything Into that season without seeing any action or recognition from the AFL area. The culture of the entire club should be about winning every game, every week. The culture of the club should be looked at as we are getting many things backwards right now.
I hope somewhere they have ambitions to win a flag at every level they play in, not just the AFL (W)
2 of them will fly back Friday, probably 4.
We will still have a decent side on the park.
If you fly back Friday morning then our game is Sunday it makes little difference IMO.That’s fair enough but why are we even flying them up?
They have to travel from Surfers Paradise to Port Pirie. This will have to impact their match day performance. Doesn’t make sense.
Our SANFl game is Saturday afternoonIf you fly back Friday morning then our game is Sunday it makes little difference IMO.
Port play Brisbane Sunday don't they ?? They'll keep 2 out.

Yeah Bicks that's the way the cookie crumbles. Noble does have great pace and was worth a crack but he'll have to play at his best.A couple of the recent SANFL mid season draftees had big VFL games on the weekend, poor old Westies lost both these boys John Noble with 28 disposals for the Pies and Will Snelling 33 disposals for the Bombers, both pushing for AFL games. Cool no worries, still they'll be fine if they fly back Friday...... IFOur SANFl game is Saturday afternoon
There flying a large squad to participate in a full training session on Thursday, the selection will come after that main session, and the players not needed will fly back either Thursday night or Friday morning. It just seems pointless to me to fly them up.
Yeah, this makes sense. There flying a large squad to participate in a full training session on Thursday, the selection will come after that main session, and the players not needed will fly back either Thursday night or Friday morning.

Think you're getting your years mixed up. Merv Keane was our coach that season (1988) where we stormed into finals and he was sacked.Kevin Higgins former Sturt coach and Geelong/Fitzroy player has passed away

Drugs Are Bad Mackay?
hey shorty
Kevin was very harshly treated in 1988. Told in June his contract wouldnt be extended only for the players to get a run on and finish in the Finals. Still no contract
You are correct. Edited.Think you're getting your years mixed up. Merv Keane was our coach that season (1988) where we stormed into finals and he was sacked.
Jumbo Prince followed from memory then Higgins had two years in the early 90s. 1991 and 1992 I think.
Started with promise. We made the Escort Cup grand final after coming off consecutive spoons with Davies and the Advertiser dubbed him 'Professor' Higgins.
Lost the grand final to Glenelg then stunk it up for the rest of the season.
Was a tough period!
So do you have anything to back up claims about said agreement? And Noble will debut for Collingwood this weekend.
We must have agreed to not draft any SANFL players in the mid-season draft to avoid a player facing his old side at SANFL level. Which is another weak move when we could’ve added some pace in Noble to our squad, and seen how he started to develop in an AFL system.
Another example of us rolling over; VFL sides getting access to Indigenous players while we don’t being another (and even sides like the Roos having access to player who live in a different flipping state).
So do you have anything to back up claims about said agreement?
Hard to claim another weak move if it isn't true.
Don't know. But given our method of selection, they'd be no one we'd pick for at least 18 monthsSeems like the exact thing we’d roll over for. And the only player either SA side selected was an existing Port man.
You don’t reckon there was ONE eligible player Hamish liked?
