We must have agreed to not draft any SANFL players in the mid-season draft to avoid a player facing his old side at SANFL level. Which is another weak move when we could’ve added some pace in Noble to our squad, and seen how he started to develop in an AFL system.
I'm not sure that is right.
The paper talk all the week leading up to the mid season draft was the Crows would take L Hosie. North Melb had a pick before us and took him but if he was there I'm sure the Crows would have taken him. Perhaps they just didn't feel Noble was what we needed because we actually passed before Collingwood swooped.
I strongly doubt there was an agreement in place.
