AFL should seriously think about changing the men’s league to AFLM

Distinguishing between AFLW and “AFLM” has largely been the domain of passionate women’s football fans, but the case for making the latter label official is increasingly compelling.

I couldn't care less what the marketers at AFL house decide to call it.

Yeah I don't remember talking to my mates and saying "Hey let's go to the AFL"

(Not that I've been able to do that a lot in the last 2 years even if I wanted too)

I'd still enjoy it regardless of what they decide to market it as, footy is footy is footy.

No. The two comps already have their own strong identity. AFL and AFLW. Interest in both leagues are very strong. There is no need for change.

Soccer in Australia is struggling to attract fans to the A Leagues which is why they are looking at ways to change to try. Footy isn’t in that dire position.
