Don't hold your breath on Wii Cricket, sure it would be awesome but EA already confirmed the rumours about it doing it are untrue. At the moment it looks a long way off.
Pretty sure there's one in the making, just not by ea. I heard the company was shit and it'll be like wii sports style.

I'll ask around, the advantages of being a mod at Planetcricket means we know enough gaming companies to find stuff out.
Wii cricket would just be gimmicky and not worth the money.

I would love to see a create a team option, much like NHL and Madden, even older versions of FIFA (I remember it being in 06, it's not in 09 though). It's on of the first things I do, it's great fun if there's enough options.
It couldn't be that hard, could it? Give you the option of picking a base manufacturer (Nike, Puma, Adidas, etc) then pick a base template, have the defaults from all the 16 teams, stripes, sash, wings, yoke, v, then a few made ones. Then choose colours, then choose a logo and have the option of putting it on the guernsey then size and positioning.

The news is that there is no news on AFL 09, won't be out until 2010.
for a game design assignment at school im going to make a afl manager game. i would like some advice and features i should put in it and maybe one day after year 12 i could make it into the next big gaming franchise

Anyhoo, sounds like that would be really tough to do. I'd recommend not trying to do much, just try to get the basics very good. I hope it goes well, because if you pull it off, it will be one hell of a school assignment!
