You do mean multiplayer in season mode (i.e multiple human controlled teams) don't you???

Multiplayer (as in one-on-one, both on the same side, 3 players, 4 players etc....) IS IN THE GAME.
Don't worry guys

I think you just scared everyone then. hahaha

HAHA ... I meant ONLINE PLAY ... Not MULTI PLAYER IN THE SAME ROOM!!!

I know there is 4 player in the game .. just wish online play was still in it and it ran well.

When we say edit everything apart from attributes...

does FH mean height, weight, and more importantly...TEAMS???

e.g. Buddy Franklin to essendon:D

Ohhhh OK....Yeah would be good.
But 2005 ran poorly online. Really, really badly. That's why they took it out. They didn't have time to fix it all up if they had to focus on all the other stuff that 2005 had wrong with it.

But it would be good to play AFL online again...

FH or BM
I know the game is out on Thursday but i would just like to ask a few more questions:

Does the game have a count up clock? So i don't know when the quarter will end.

Will i still be able to tag anyone on the ground with any player?

The continuous clock has been in the game ever since it's conception I dont see why it would have been canned.

I'd like to see online play on PS3/XBOX360. I think that you guys should definitely be aiming to release AFL 2008/09 on next gen, because the gameplay has been improved to a great enough extent that the small features like online play, better graphics etc should be added in. It would be awesome to have a Madden style career mode too one day.

Love for FH to speak here, but if IR get the next gen gig I reckon all their efforts will be put into just making a version of AFL 2007 that looks good on the console, let alone actually making extra features for it.

And you would want IR to start pretty quickly! A team of 20 odd developers would need ages to create top notch graphics for the next version. Hopefully the AFL won't mess about with signing off the next contract if indeed it needs to be renewed.

I wouldn't mind waiting a bit longer if it was going to be quite good.

I think FH said in the past that they currerntly have 15 Staff doing AFL 2007, if they were to go to next gen they will automatically have to go up to 50 Staff minimum

Hey i read that the ratings are on last years rating, before i read that i gave you guys some slack for realeasing it in July so you guys can the ratings and make em close to the players real rating for the year, but c'mon based on last years peformances??? seriously why didn't u release it febuary then? i think you guys if your doing that should release if febuary, like start on it 6 months earlier so you can release it christmas / nye, aka skip next year and releae se it christmas next year and release it that time every year. Seriously that is a joke though, people say stop your whinging at least there is one, which im grateful of but c'mon if people knew the ratings where from last year not as many people would buy it AFL Premiership 2007 - Released half way through 07 but everythings based on 2006

I asked this very question at electronics boutique and they told me it will, so it better!

Not sure if it's even been tested to be honest. The guys at EB will say anything for a sale :p I'll ask at work today and get back to you...

I never get sick of this one...the reason we release it at this time of the season is the AFL want the product to reflect the 2007 season. This means ground sponsorship, team sponsorship, team lists, team uniforms etc have to be accurate to the 2007 season and unforunately for you guys a lot of this stuff is not ready at the start of the season proper let alone the start of the preseason. Take the heritage round guernseys for example. Last I heard they were still going through the design/approval stage - these are ones for this year!

It's little things like that which hold up the process and we have to factor them into the development period. You may not care about what the teams wear in the heritage round but unfortunately for you the AFL do and it's their product they are putting out there.

From my personal point of view I like the fact that we get some of the season to look at the players, in particular the new ones as finding information on them in the offseason is very hard and a lot of that stuff isn't released until the season starts. The more info we have, the better the ratings will be.

I hope this gives you a better idea of the issues we have to deal with in the background...:thumbsu:
