Hey does anyone know how long it will take for afl 2007 to get on the intrernet so i can download it for ps2 of azureus bitcomet etc because i have a chip in my ps2 so im wondering how long will it take to get up on the net.

hes right..theres no way i would play a second season if all the good players have been delisted...whats the point of continuing on if all the teams are stacked up with no namers? wheres the fun in that...u dont see the soccer games delisting ronaldinho, lampard, henry etc at the end of a season, or basketball games delisting bryant, iverson, garnett etc...that would be garbage

every team should hold on to their guns just like real life..unless there is a suitable trade, which should be rare

I know a way this can be fixed

Why don't you include player contracts. Make it that the team you control is allowed to approach any player, and all the computer teams are only allowed to approach certain players.

The other way this could work is that you could base the succes of the trade on player rankings. For instance a player between 50-65 ranking would have a 70% chance of the trade being successful. A player with 66-80 ranking would have a 40% chance of the trade being successful or a player between 81-100 would have a 30% chance of the trade being successful.

These are just my thoughts on how this problem could be solved.

1. better gameplay, more realistic in some points.
2. not as easy to score which is good
3 no more ruckman to rover to forward to goal. thats great.
4 so many smothers but its fun for some reason.

QUERYs

1. Does anyone elses ruckman stand on the same side as opponent for ball ups??? this is SOOOO SOOO WRONG. At first i thought it was a tactic... no? its a bug surely.

2. A few times now i have played on without realising then get tackled no wistle or anything is that the go?

3. Is it supposed to be REAL slow in the rain???

4. Have i got a bad copy or something?

5. Does everyones players just run through players LIKE A GHOST?? thats weird.

Still, All in all this game is an improvement but really what 2005/2006 shouldve been i guess. Its a great effort and fully appreciated.

Agree with most of that mate Just one more question, WHY does Bazza have a coleman ranking still and Fevola doesn't? This would seroiusly piss off all carlton Supporters. I bought the game today and out of ten i'd give it 8 & a half. Grapighics are pretty crap though, commentry is better, gameplay is better, Adjusting player features is great, but i'm gonna get my money back because Vossy isn't in it. He's still on the payrole as a player, just kidding. Seriously, if you liked last years you'll love this!

Played a few games.

What a like:

- Difficulty levels. im struggling on hard. FINALLY!
- Stats...superb
- Better Graphics than previous versions
- Quicker gameplay and better camera angles

What i didnt really like

-Stats are great and its good to have season stats, but i wish we had a sort column to easily see who is the leading goal kicker, handballer etc. minor thing but it helps.
- Too many smothers annoys me, on hard every time i tried to kick it, it would be smothered and this was due to my players winding up to kick every single time. A stab kick (quick tap of X) only went about 5 metres.
- Off season, im with others about teams delisting their best players. Just not realistic.

Overall i still think its a vast improvement and i do see longevity in this version game.

At first I didn't think it was a big improvement on last year.

Having played a few games now I am really enjoying it... The tackling/smothering/pressure seemed to much but once I got use to it I like it a lot.

No sirengate....All missions are from grand finals the teams have been in (one per team) with the exception of Freo, who haven't made a GF. Their mission is the Final against Melbourne last year, which was their first ever.

Didn't notice it...Do you mean for ball ups around the ground?
Don't they just line up next to each other and wrestle for position???

Probably just holding sprint when you mark. Try to let go before you get to the contest.

Yeah....kinda gets annoying. Maybe there's other ways that could've been used to show how the wet effects gameplay....Try and come up with ways that could be used....At the moment it's just slow players, and more dropped marks...Which just makes it frustrating to play in the wet....

It happens here and there....same with any game really....
I suppose the collision detection should just be improved a bit...

Don't like how the ratings change if you interchange them, Cox dominated the ruck all day and got plenty of it. Took him off in the last, and then they have Petrie BOG cause he was matched up against someone fresh off the bench

Totally agree....Also there should probably be a way to skip a page quickly (like how the training results show up) so you can quickly get through the large amounts of info....
But yeah....a sort feature would've been awesome...and great to quickly see details about the team you're gonna play.

The new video is in the 'Bugs' Section. Quite a funny one, which has only happened once. The best part is what Dennis says when I exit out of the replay and go back to have the shot...great commentary!!!!

Hey FH, got the game today and have played a few games and I am loving it(Especially the Commentry), gameplay is really good, love the camera and the players move and look so much more refined.

Love how the ground fades a bit when u are at one end of the ground and looking towards the other, to be honest I dont think the graphics are in huge need of being changed, all I ask is that the players are recognisable(Doesn't mean they need to be exact models).

Bad Points:
Jay Schulz doesn't have his name read out which is weird, do the guys at IR Gurus have something against him, as last year he went by the name of Smith.

And it has been mentioned once before but the bringing on of a fresh player from the bench seems to make the player in the opposite positions Ranking go up to no.1 or no.2 even if the player on your team has had a several disposals and kept his opponent pretty quiet once you bring someone on to give that player a rest the opponent shoots up the rankings as your bench player hasn't done a thing.

Haven't gotten around to the off-season yet, but the things people on here seem to shit themselves about doesn't really worry me, the only thing I would say to rectify it would be bring in a proper contract system, just use the same system as used on Footy Fanatic FX and/or TAR, it couldn't be too hard.

BTW I have a PS3 and have only played the game on it as well, it works 100% fine, no movement bugs or anything, in fact the game probably moves smoother as I was reading that the game moves SLOW with Rainy weather whereas it didn't seem to affect the movement of the game on the PS3.

As for that so called "MAJOR BUG" with the Player Matchups screen, it isn't really that bad as it is just swapped around, you can still view the players ratings and what not, it is just you have to look at it differently, no real biggie as it doesn't affect anything.

Lastly I would have to say the best thing about this game would be the realism, my last match I played was Richmond(Me) Vs Port Adelaide(CPU) and we were behind by about 3 goals up until 3qtr time but we managed to claw back and win by 8 points almost on the last kick of the game, but the thing I liked best was that Shane Tuck had about 19 disposals, Deledio 18, and the score was 104 to 96 and not once did it look like it would be a 30.1.181 to 1.0.6 result.

You do it in the Training Setup section, select the player you want to develop then the attribute.

I fixed the ruckman thing...

when you TAG your ruckman to another player he stands by him at the bounce. Hence he is standing on the wrong side of the bounce.

Also be careful when changing ruckman my ruckman had a tag on the full forward meaning he wasnt at the bounces. Cost me the game god damn it..

Hey FH, great job with the game, really enjoying it. The smothering thing is taking a while to get used to. Is there a technique to use to get a clear kick when you win the ball in a contested situation?

Im having a problem saving my game. It appears I cant save over the previous file. It automatically says 'retry save' and then when i click okay the box just disappears and doesnt save. It only works if I have a spare spot, meaning I have to delete the old ones every 3 games. Anyone else have this problem? Is it a bug?
