The ticketing isn't complex at all -

1) most clubs have guaranteed GF tickets available to members - I've got an Adelaide Football Club Gold membership (which is in addition to my normal AFC membership which I've paid every year for the guarantee for a GF ticket if we make it)

2) AFL members (Full membership) - if you have an Club Support ticket for any of the two competing teams you are guaranteed entry and then the balance of the tickets are then available to other teams Full AFL members and restricted AFL members of the two competing teams. If they are still any tickets available after that then the restricted AFL members.

With the tigs one win away from the unthinkable, how long until the whinging start when supporters realised that their three game and/or pet membership doesn't entitle them to a guaranteed GF ticket.
I think it's unfair Tigers don't get to play at punt road.

Re: AFL Membership GF tickets, is this correct?

Priority is like so:
1. AFL Member Competing Club 1 Gold Membership / AFL Member Compeiting Club 2 Gold Membership
2. AFL Member Gold Membership (Non-Competing Club)
3. AFL Member Competing Club 1 Silver Membership / AFL Member Compeiting Club 2 Silver Membership
4. AFL Member Silver Membership (Non-Competing Club)

I'm a Silver and feel like I'm basically no show. :(

That's the correct order.
You best chance will be if you play Adelaide.

Could have got a series ticket for $1.5K the other week. No doubt included Q level GF seats, but I actually thought that wasn't bad deal.

Be worth dropping some cash to get to the GF if Richmond make it, guarantee we'll see nothing like it either win or lose.

I hear about these series tickets when they nominate a game in Melbourne each week as the series ticket game, but have never really understood exactly who gets these tickets and how? I have never seen them advertised. I assume it is some sort of inside thing, for sponsors, journos, staff etc?

Back in the good old days (80's) they had a series ticket that any club member could buy, it didn't matter where you finished on the ladder. It was a very reasonable price and got you into every final in Melbourne which back then was all 6 games and good seats too. From memory I think it was something like $90.
Lol, I just found my 1991 GF ticket and it was $23.50 concession.

I think this series is new for this year as it included the GF. Previous years in recent memory did not. Yes, prices have skyrocketed over the years but we live in a large city where people will pay for it. Nothing we can do.

Under the blue box on the right Grand Final Series Pass
Thanks, hadn't seen these anywhere, I don't recall them being there last week when I looked. That package seems to just include the prelim and GF. These series tickets the other poster mentioned I am pretty sure include 1 game for each week of the finals but I have never seen them advertised anywhere. For example last Friday and this Friday are listed as the series ticket match.

The 4 game ones were available earlier in the season, they sold out. Then the AFL this week has released some more I think this week.

They don't guarantee entry. What they do is offer a limit of 60% of available tickets in the AFL Members Reserve first to Gold AFL Members of the competing clubs. They normally get no where near 60% and that limit would only be threatened if it were a Collingwood vs. Essendon GF as these clubs have high Gold AFL Member numbers.

Other than that, your post is correct.

I say they don't guarantee entry, they just give you the first offer. It's not uncommon for Gold Members of the competing clubs to pass up the first offer for tickets as they would prefer to sit together with friends and/or family who are not members of the competing clubs. Personally, I wouldn't do this if my club was in the GF but each to their own.

Ah misunderstood. Tks for clarifying
IF anyone at all is not using their Gold AFL Membership barcode to purchase grand final tickets please please please DM me, happy to purchase it off you at price you deem reasonable.

Unfortunately I'm only a silver AFL member.

Also, not jumping the gun at all... trying to organise just in case the tigs make it as tickets go on sale the day after the prelim.

With 5 posts in 3 years, 2 of them asking for Gold Member Barcodes , you're unlikely to get any takers on here.

Trust.

Someone who goes on BigFooty every day of their life doesn't make them more trustworthy.
True, but the person potentially giving out the barcode trusts long term posters more.
I'm not saying you aren't trustworthy, I am just providing advice that people on here are unlikely to hand over something valuable to a new comer.

lol 18 year consecutive Richmond member.. safe to say genuine fan.
Converted to AFL membership 8 years ago, hence only silver.
You may be, but we have only seen a guy asking for barcodes.

Youre asking people to take a lot on faith, esp when a lot if regular posters who we know are hardcore crows/swans/cats/tigs/weagles/giants fans are missing out
