Yeah it wasn't just umps. Essendon's positioning and tackling in their defensive 50 was terrible. GWS kicking 18.9 shows that. It's hard to win a game when an opponent is constantly running into open goals.

You do realise the only thing free kick differential measures is a teams discipline? Just as tackles measure a teams pressure, and DE% measures a teams efficiency.
