As usual, the wrap up after another round of interesting games

Liked - Brisbane showing some spirit

Hated - Season 2017 is a disaster for the Bulldogs, *Edit - Bugg incident - another blight on the game

Learnt - nothing new - the same old problems round after round

Liked: Being able to use Buzz Lightyear gifs for Wylie :)

Learnt: Not even a game v 18th Brisbane is a safe win. Fagan can coach.

Hated: The below the knees rule. I hate it, it penalises the player going for the ball which has been the pillar of the game for over a century. All because of one incident too. More over-reactionary rule making from AFL house.

Tyson Stengle on debut.
Cotchin's leadership at half time.
Chad Wingard and Sam Powell-Pepper's games.
Tom Lynch returning to form.
Dylan Grimes. Seriously underrated.

Learnt:

Brisbane are seriously on the right track.
Taylor Adams doesn't do enough with the amount of possessions he gets.
Port Adelaide are the biggest flat track bullies this season.
Michael Walters is no longer a specialist crumbing forward. Gun.
Charlie Curnow will be an absolute jet.
Gibbs is finally delivering consistently.

Hated:

Tom Bugg. An absolute disgrace and has a bit of a reputation of being a grub.
Sandi injuring himself again.
The extra long siren and whistle on the Hawkins shot.

Thrilling win interstate rather then a flogging or valiant loss like pretty much all the time
Dangerfield routinely amazing
Ablett big in his 300th (thankfully not against us)
Brisbane Lions making Essen look dopey

Hated

Dogs $hit
Tomas Thugg
Poor sports who cannot accept losing

being able to win ugly When not at your best
Lions last quarter comeback against Essendon
Port Adelaide still with no win against a Top 8 side and 9 of the 10 bottom sides have a win against a top 8 team

Dislike
Cats last quarter I tipped them to cause a upset

Liked - The game last night between GWS & Geelong. Great to see Geelong matching the Giants. Richmond winning and being top 4, Brisbane having a well fought win.

Learnt - Melbourne are a big chance of not playing finals. Lots of injuries, lots of concerns after being hammered by Sydney. Also a tough draw starting with Carlton this week.

Port are pretenders. No wins against top 8 sides. Adelaide need to start playing more convincing football to get anywhere in the finals - average top 4 side. Sydney can win the flag if they make finals.

Hated - The media touting Melbourne as premiership contenders after two decent wins from 14 games. Moronic commentators and supporters buying into it, moronic non Melbourne fans ripping Melbourne down after media WA***** stupidly pumping them up.

Tom Bugg giving a cowardly performance when he owed us after doing something very stupid in the first 5 minutes.

Sean Darcy - surely a rising star nomination this week

Brisbane's fightback - stunning and unexpected

Learnt

Close games suck when you lose - 2 weeks running

Freo are out of finals contention now - lost matches we should've won and been heartless in others. As much as I lash the umpires, we only have ourselves to blame.

Hated

Bugg's punch - 6 weeks or the game loses integrity

Sandi's hamstring - another 4-6 weeks on the sidelines coming up for him

Losing to the Saints - for the most part I struggle with their supporters on here but my true thoughts of the game I'll censor.

Liked: The lions winning. The Hawks showing predictions of their demise may be premature. Last couple of weeks they've shown they do, in fact, have quality youth.

Learnt: The truth if the axiom that a draw is like dancing with your sister. Menegola is a very good player, and the Cats dont rely on Dangerwood to play well.

Hated: All the BF hate for Tom Bugg. I always liked him as player and he in fact has no record at the tribunal. He did a bad thing and will have to take his lumps.

Liked: another round of unpredictable results, upsets and close games

Learned: any team can beat anybody on any given day. A lesson that keeps repeating week after week this year

Hated: losing another lead in the last quarter. Maybe the bombers could try being behind with 10 minutes to go

St Kilda and the Bulldogs are in a contest to be bad in front of goals

I think we are winning

haha, dont fool yourself there Cooks..

Club--------------- Goal acc %
1 Western Bulldogs--42.4
2 Richmond---------44
3 St Kilda-----------44.5

We're comfortably ahead in that stat.

Liked: tigers winning, true guts and determination sort of win. Top 4 is a realistic achievement now.

Learnt: tagging rance worked for half a game however like a true champion he found a way to beat it and get back to his best in the 2nd half.

Hated: when a weakened involves a tigers win along with a bombers, blues and pies loss what's there to hate?

Please refer to this thread.
AFL have no idea what they are doing with these rule changes.

Liked: The performance of the Cats with so many forced changes and including three debutants against the ladder leaders. Disproving the old 'if Selwood or Dangerfield don't play the Cats will be crap' chestnut. The upsets and other close games.

Learnt: Lions have some great young players and won't be near the bottom of the ladder for long.

Hated: Finlayson's injury. Really feel for the guy, rotten luck.

I think that is for only set shots thought

But either way i think i speak for both of us in saying it is nowhere near the standard that we should expect.

Liked - Melbourne losing, reality check for a team that has done nothing

Learnt - officially the worse quality year of football in my lifetime. Lots of close games but the standard is junk.

Hated - seeing how weak my team is from coaching to playing staff. Bottom 4 team this year and I can't see us winning another game all year.

Liked: Dons losing, Hawkins spraying, Hawthorn winning

Learnt: GWS and Geelong can win the flag, I don't think Port or Richmond can. Woefully undisciplined footy in that game.

Hated: Plenty to hate, but I'm going to say the footy itself. Saints v Freo was a good game but all the other games I saw were pretty dull (an exciting last 5 minutes can't make up for 2 hours of scrappy rubbish).

To be fair GWS are much further away from fielding their first 22 compared to cats

Nothing against your boys, we just love beating Ross Lyon, you played well yesterday, Walters almost broke our hearts twice.

That is unfair, but typical!
We all know GWS is blessed with an over abundance of talent. Geelong isn't because that's not how the system works

Missing from Cats best 22 - Joel Selwood, Scott Selwood, Dan Menzel, Tom Stewart, Lincoln McCarthy, Nakia Cockatoo & Brandon Parfitt. Add to that, Darcy Lang & George Horlin-Smith, both of who were injured last week against Freo.
