Oh dear cry me a river. Finals at Geelong is a furphy, anyone who is actually upset the AFL didn't schedule the game (or any final) there needs their head read.

Fantastic win tonight Tiges, were far more structured, disciplined and hungry than the Cats. The crowd was immense really was something to see. Hopefully they can do the job in a fortnight and paint Melbourne yellow and black during GF week.

Im not a cats supporter. So couldnt give a s**t to be honest. But no one can doubt that cats essentially just got demoted to 3rd. Its about the integrity of the sport.

2016 cats 2nd Hawks 3rd qualifying final at the G

Why is this an issue all of a sudden? Finals are played at the big grounds, did anyone complain that finals were played at the G when Melbourne and Richmond were the only tenants? It's a ludicrous argument, finals will never be played in Geelong unless a situation like 2013 happens again (4 Melbourne finals in a weekend and cats playing a low drawing non-Vic team).

Just want to say to all the Geelong supporters 'well done'.

The grace and dignity you've shown in the past 24 hours, on so many of these Bigfooty forums, has been first rate. You're a mature, grounded supporter base. As Ron Burgundy said, 'stay classy'

When Bitchery played for Richmond, they NEVER won a final. They couldn't even beat a team in the finals that didn't even finish in the finals.
So what happens when Tyronne ****face moves just a couple of suburbs over from Punt road?

Tigers NEVER lose a final.

Hawthorn- previously unbeatable- Where are they now? First September they haven't been seen in a VERY VERY VERY long time. if ever.

That's the Tyronne effect right there.

Is this supposed to be funny or clever or something?

Good win tigs
But relax, you wernt that great.
geelong were pathetic beyond belief, ive never seen a team play that dismal in a finals game ever.

Richmond wernt put under great pressure , and cats have a reputation for playing poor after a bye.

And great work - you won a game by simple work rate. (fremantle did the same thing) If Geelong did the same the result would have been reversed.

ill reserve judgment until prelim final

The Cats had 94 tackles! I'd love to see what pressure looks like according to you.

richmonds players would sprint to the contest and the cats would jog ... massive difference

the cats reaction time was slow last night, they always play lazy like after a bye.

lets see next week how they go, and if the bye affects the tigs

Exposed the cats lack of pace. Was quite obvious. Regardless of being flat or structures. We did something the dogs can't. Geelong will lose to Sydney this week.

Tigs pressure won the game along with solid structure; it’s as simple as that

but finals pressure is usually a 2 way street , unlike the 2 games thus far
Cats also had that sluggish look about them, - often fumbly, perceived pressure, they looked slow and lacked sharpness (often 1 sec too slow with their decision making)
Lol. Sorry but you're talking out of your arse mate.

Our pressure was crazy and we forced the cats to play like they did.

Our pressure is better than doggies last year easy. All the teams you played were sluggish and slow and your premiership was won through an armchair ride from the umps.

lol lol and lol

pressure should be non negotiable in finals,
west coast brought pressure last night, but port were still sharp

cats were the worst team by far out of all the teams, they were sluggish all game, the rest of the teams at least wernt

just hold your horses and lets see how you go in PF

Essendon, port, wc and gws were all much worse than Geelong.
