Well...this wasn't what I expected.

It's not really like the Tigers have been complete trash either, they've just been made to look second rate. And against a side who's struggled against Top 8 sides this year. Wow.

Only really good teams can do it eg:

Hawthorn 88-89
Adelaide 97-98
Brisbane 01-02 (or 02-03 etc etc)
Hawthorn 13-14 (or 14-15)

etc etc :D

They are notoriously hard to win. It's not over yet, but it's going to be a long road back for Richmond. They'll need Collingwood to remain scoreless for the rest of the game to have a chance.
To be fair, you can add Richmond 73-74 to that list. :)

And, as a Carlton supporter, let's not forget 81-82. ;)

Richmond fell to pieces once they were under scoreboard pressure. Credit to them over the last 12 months, as we've rarely seem then under this pressure, because it is usually them applying it, but this shows how many poor users of the ball they have when put under pressure. Also highlights what people have been saying for the last year and a bit, great top 4, but their ability to keep them on the park for so many games has been key in their success. One of them playing under severe duress tonight and their midfield falls apart.

A beautiful thing to see.
This exactly.

Six decades of domination
This is pretty funny I must admit.

Richmond have nothing when their pressure and intercept marking fails. Collingwood is dealing with their pressure beautifully. Also spanking them in the middle.

Anyone who thinks you don’t need a good ruckmen should watch a game like this. Nankervis been a disgrace.
Can't fault Nank. He's been alright.

He just literally has no support against arguably the best ruck duo in the comp.

Scored 2 goals (v 10) for half the game... and they're suddenly going to kick 10+ this half and keep Collingwood goalless after that half?

LOL. It's not 1993.

MCG winning streaks, record membership, all those home & away wins... now going to count for nothing. The most diabolical PF performance since Essendon in the 1999 Preliminary Final... and at least that was close!

Last time they had this kind of scoreboard pressure was when the saints flogged them last year about r15 or so

What gets me, is that WC and others showed how to play on Cox and take Mark's against him, yet all Richmond have done is let him do exactly what he wants which is run at the ball.
Mark him close and force him under the ball and voila!!!
