I don't care about booing, it's played up way more than it should be by the media. But for Gold Coast fans to boo Ablett is so strange. He gave it his all whilst he was up there and who could begrudge him for wanting to spend his last couple of years at home. Bunch of twats.

He abandoned them when he was responsible for the clubs culture going downhill. He didn't want to fix the mess he made, I don't blame the Suns for booing him!

It's hilarious that Ablett gets blamed for the club's mistakes. First of all, Ablett is no leader, never has been. It was foolish optimism to install Ablett as captain and expect him to be able to perform that role in anything beyond a token capacity. He was a good marquee player for them, but many outside observers could see that putting any real leadership responsibility on him was setting them down a path to failure. The club culture was a mess because the club didn't do a good enough job installing strong figures to manage the players' behaviour, and that's not on Ablett.

Great half to be only down by 3 at half time against the top of the ladder team. Ainsworth needed to either shot earlier or hand off to Fiorini there at the end.

Considering we were belted by over 100 points by this mob last season, will take that.

Ablett should have handed back the captaincy after his first year, or declined it from day 1. As being captain involves a lot more than deciding which way to kick after a coin toss on game day! The worst AFL captain in history.

They should have never given to him and should have taken it away from him. That's on the club, not him. The captain doesn't lead the club. They needed stronger leaders to take control and do what was needed to get it trending towards success, not what they felt they needed to do from a marketing standpoint. That's all Ablett being captain was - marketing. Ablett was never captain material. Everyone knew that for years before he left for the GC. The Gold Coast have been ineptly managed since inception; that's why they've never done anything. The vitriol directed at Ablett is misplaced. They should be booing the people responsible for operating their club.

And those blokes have been subsequently moved out of the club. Which is why we are seeing a team that is actually giving a damn.
