Brayshaw is the only player in Melbourne's side that has any composure, maybe Salem too.

They clearly did well last year on pure adrenaline and form, as the Dogs did in 2016. Substance lacking.

Seems Melbourne came into 2019 believing the press - that they're a top 4 side.

Pretty ordinary quarter. Melbourne still don't look good but their defence at least is set up better, whereas Richmond aren't executing all that well. Get the feeling Richmond break the game open soon enough.

Channel 7 commentary is an unbelievable pile of garbage ... how any of these muppets get a cheque for aimlessly yelling through the TV is just unreal .
The one pace , one tone conjures nothing but the need to internally scream and shit ..... not always in that order either .
No cadence , no intination , no clue and certainly no feeling for us the spectator . a complete and utter shit show .
the main board is nothing more than an excuse to whinge nowadays.

if these are your main concerns you're a lucky guy/gal

Might just be the worst game I've ever watched (especially from a Melbourne perspective).
Four day break for both teams doesn't exactly help, but this is just awful even considering that.

Are Melbourne Color blind?

The amount of time they have kicked it directly to a Richmond player standing all alone is insane... and it's not Richmond expert positioning defensively... I have seen instances where 2 or 3 Melbourne players are alone, but some clown kicks it 20 metres over their head to the Richmond guy standing by himself.

Does have overcompensated tonight. There much better defensively but are getting nothing going in the forward line because there allowing Vlastuin and Grimes to do what they like back there. Bit of daring movement to shift their positions and they can get through just like the 1st quarter. Tigers are a good side but Christ they get some arsey goals. Some of their goals remind me of junior footy, mad scramble and chaos than a quick snap from nowhere. It's effective whatever it is.

The only thing in Melbourne’s favour is they couldn’t play much worse and they’re only 8 points down.
Couldn’t play much worse? I take it you haven’t had the misfortune of watching any of our games so far this year?

Our first quarter was actually pretty decent, but that quarter was pretty shit. Very fumbly and sloppy.
