Hahaha. Destroyed the Tigers the last 2 games. Fear??!!! The Tigers are a rung below. Tonight’s performance wouldn’t have got you remotely close to the better teams in the comp.
One thing worse than losing a gf by under a kick would be losing one to us by 8 goals. Be afraid pies....be very afraid

What do people see as the mechanics behind a so called Prelim Final hangover. I can see to logical reason at all. There is surely another issue we are not aware of.

Certainly can be if the group and club sub consciously are satisfied with the season. The dialogue coming from a lot of dees supporters I know as well as the footy industry was a natural progression would see them play off in a GF. Dangerous attitude to take into a new season

Melbourne haven't been successful in our lifetimes. I reckon they'd measure success a little different to others....

What's with The Perth teams letting these guys slip in the draft, and end up in VIC sides?

Baker is from WA too. As is Stack. And Tim Kelly??

All these guys could have gone to West Coast or Freo.. if they wanted them.
Yeah but it’s not like other clubs don’t have the same amount of scouts in WA.

Where are the people saying we are stupid to trade away miles, conca, Ellis and Lloyd now?
Baker, Ross, Stack and Balta and far better than any of those spuds
Spuds?

Yet every Richmond fan thought Miles and Lloyd were worth a 2nd rounder and had no idea of how players get valued at the trade table.

Plus I don't remember too many calls saying it was dumb. Probably cleared out 1mil in salary, Lynch comes in, who called that dumb

Correct. It's well known talent was not the reason Stack went undrafted. Every recruiter knew he could play, but there were off field concerns. His background was rough, had some personal challenges, needed to get away from WA which wasn't a good environment for him. Things like his diet and preparation and professionalism were also questioned too. He was a flight risk.

Tigers took a punt and over the summer by all reports he worked incredibly hard and took his opportunity. If he stays on the right path it will be an absolute steal getting a gun player for nothing. We took a chance, they dont always pay off but this one just might.
I just don't get why a team didn't put a rookie pick on him. A pretty risk free pick (if he doesn't make it he`s like the majority of rookies anyway) but he lasted til the extra pick time, and he looks like he`s played 150 AFL games, not 4.

Full credit to Hardwick, Cotchin, presumably Edwards and the off-field staff.

Just on the way home from the pub mate. Ripper night, brilliant first quarter. Unfortunatley injuries and umpires cruelled us but still plenty of time to right the ship before the premiership assault!

Congrats to all you sexy Tigers out there. Can't wait to smash you pricks in the replay!
Lel, was there, can confirm both teams got absolutely torched by the umps, they had no over all bearing on the game. We had our CHB on leg after half time and lost Jack in the last. You got rolled by a superior outfit. Next time we play you it will be for more percentage on top of the 4 points. NEEEEEXXXXTTTTTT!

Won 3 in the last 9 attempts. Can you post me a picture of your preliminaryship t shirt please? I wanna see what it looks like. But, please stay cocky. I like it.

Pity Riewoldt got injured.
I would love to see him get a meaningful suspension as he tries to hang every single player over the most minor discretions on AFL360.

Point on the Patrick dolly where Richmond offended you please. I'd suggest Jack isn't the wanker here.

Meaningful suspension? For simply holding a guy's arm. He held it so there was no chance of a legal disposal, didn't apply any extra force to cause injury. There was no comment from the ump and no retaliation from any Dees players. Take your Jack hating goggles off
If he played for Geelong he'd get an apology for being cited. Maybe he should rock up in a Geelong suit and confuse the MRP?

That's very unfair to Riewoldt. The players face the risk of harm in playing the game and those risks are increased by foul play. My guess is that is the headspace he is in when talking publicly about incidents not directly related to him. He is trying to influence public opinion and thus the direction of the game, towards eliminating foul play.

I can't even see him being cited for last night.

Congratulations mate! You beat Melbourne!
Unlucky. Unfortunate how you can’t beat interstate teams on your home ground. And where’s my t shirt pic?

Gotta love the April/May champions that are Collingwood. A team that has won 2 flags in 60 years.
As opposed to one GF and a handful of finals wins in over 35? Richmond has been a contender for about two years now. They've been the team to beat for one year and failed to cope with the pressure.

The current Tigers outfit has a fair bit to do to show that they'll ultimately have a better legacy than any of the other sides that have managed a single flag in the past decade and managed to stay in contention for several more seasons (Collingwood, Sydney, West Coast...I'll give you the Bulldogs at this stage). Let's see if Richmond manages any more flags in the next 3-5 years, or even if they remain in contention for that period before we get too carried away about where they sit in the pantheon.

It might just be a byproduct of living in Victoria, but the deference that Richmond seems to get in the media seems way out of proportion to, say, the reigning premier.

Yep but that’s just what I’m saying- why go on about Lewis- he is an easy fix- he will finish up.
It’s what to do about their plodding midfield, their dysfunctional forward line, their undermanned backline and so forth that needs the attention- a more difficult fix. To work out what has happened since the final against WC. What has turned a very good team into quite a mess. That’s where I would be focussing my energy. It’s fallen away so quickly, perhaps it can be righted quickly?
Would think their back line would be somewhat sorted when May and Lever come in as for the rest ??????

Coming from the supporter of a club which won nothing for 45 years (until 2007). You have won 9 flags in your your pitiful existence. And you talk legacies? Remember the handbag legacy? Short memories some of you folk......if ever there was a club that has delivered SFA, it’s the cats. Hardwicks finals record is what, one finals win short of Scott and Scott won with Bombers list. Laughable.
