As an opposition supporter I loved Brayshaw on a wing. He is Melbournes best player imo and Melbourne could of dominated us around the ball if he was in there.
Hunt in the forward line is also quite funny as he looked a star off the HBF.
Patracca should be fit enough to play midfield now as well. If he isn’t melbournes fitness staff should be sacked
Richmond are most vulnerable to good opposition midfields. I think we are 2nd last in clearances.

So what does Goody do? he starts with Brayshaw on the wing, Oliver at Full Forward and Hibberd in the middle. :joycat:

I thought we were talking about Oliver? My point is he (Oliver) is a lot better than a bog average 'hard inside mid', but he doesn't have the inside/outside game that only the very best have. He's like Scott West, Matt Priddis, one of those types. In the right midfield, he's elite. In the wrong midfield (i.e. one without the linebreaking outside class), he looks like a plodder. You can't just put him in any midfield and be assured he'd succeed, but there's not many players in the league who can do that.
Gotcha. Wires crossed. I was meaning Viney from the outset. Agree with you on Oliver.

You need to look further.
Load of crap. The head gets rattled with most collisions on a footy field. Dissapointed in Goodwins "some concussion stuff" comment. Sounded like a lame attempt to gain the attention of the mrp.

Your nonsense doesn't interest me. Read what I posted originally.
How on earth can you look at the picture posted and view the footage and come to the conclusion there was any high contact?

If there was even a hint of the the media would have been all over it.

This is really silly. One nuffie misreads a post and then everyone jumps in without bothering to understand the trail. It's no wonder Tigers posters have a bad reputation.

So, they were proved correct that Melbourne looked terrible and the scoreline was flattering them, when the margin ultimately blew out? What's the problem with that?

I'd much prefer that than the usual commentator's technique, which goes something like this:
  • Team A kicks a goal to go up by 20+ with 10 minutes left - "Goal! Game over!!"
  • Team B replies with a goal two minutes later - "Goal! Game back on!!"
  • Team A kicks another goal - "To seal the win! Yes!!"
  • Team B kicks two more goals in quick succession - "Signs of life! What a game!"
  • Rinse and repeat until there's about 20 seconds left.
They're there to provide analysis beyond what the scoreboard is telling us. If Melbourne had won, it would be a valid criticism. Honestly, of all the things to get worked up at the commentators about, you think they shouldn't get stuck into a team that looked as awful as Melbourne did last night?
Nah, the match is won on the scoreboard and sometimes ugly football wins. Remember, the Tigers had only kicked 34 points up to half time so Melbourne had done pretty well to hold them to that and it wasn't until late in the 3rd quarter that we started pulling away.

BTW I didn't get worked up, just found the commentary was being unfair on the opposition.

Each to their own. Personally I think the commentators would have been doing a disservice to their viewers not to mention how inept Melbourne was looking and if anything, I thought they were watering out down a bit (one of the most feeble efforts I've ever seen in an AFL game by Brayshaw was barely mentioned and you have to wonder how much of that was due to his uncle commentating at the time - I've mentioned it in more detail earlier in this thread).
