O'Meara 8 turnovers from 17 touches.

Should be a top 5 player in the game based on what we all saw at the time he got taken by GC in mini draft.
What's going on with him? Feel like he has been very average for a long time now.
His knees are shot probably. Never was the player he looked to become in his first 2 seasons after he missed nearly three seasons with knee injuries.

Clarko said we are going to play the kids.

What kids??????

Jiath, Moore, Jones, Ross, Kosi, Glass - there's plenty of young players that should be coming in. The core of the team that won the premiership at Box Hill are still not getting a run. I'd rather be smashed and get games into kids rather than watching the same old poo I watched last night.

There’s too many bull types midfielders these days. In order to stand out he has to have other qualities. He just slowed down over time and injuries too.
Yesterday isn't a fair comparison, but it is interesting to reflect on the difference between bull mids like O'Meara and someone like Andrew Brayshaw.

Brayshaw has none of the real standout attributes that get fans jizzing these days, he's not an inside beast, he doesn't have elite acceleration or blinding pace, he is just an old school quality mid in the Harvey, Crawford or Cousins mould who runs hard, gets his stats by reading the play around contests, and makes good decisions and uses the ball well when he gets it.

And he will probably win a few brownlows and play 250 as a result, because that style of play wins far more games in the long run.

Consistent accumulators who use the ball well are probably the most underrated type of midfielder in modern football.

Hence why Lachie Neale was underrated when he was at Freo, partly due to his height though
