It's not "aggression", not one Port player or any player in the comp is running scared because of some jumper pulling and open palms to the chest.

Hodge played through broken ribs. They were tough and aggressive first going for the ball, and the hard hits were additional. Teams didn't play scared against Hawthorn because Hawthorn pulled their jumpers

Its showing the intent to get into the faces of the opponent, regardless of how it manifests. There is clearly a bunch young players that have come up with no hard edged leadership whatsoever. It has to start somewhere. Its not about getting the opposition scared, it’s about getting the kids steeled.
