Blues looking to go smaller against Dogs play will be wet. Won’t be surprised to see McKay miss for Kennedy. McKay also has some sore ribs

Kennedy has been very good as a mid in “Reserves” this year. Finally over ankle injury and fitter and quicker

Polson has been very good as a small defender showing poise and run he hasn’t as a forward. Will play soon

LOB injured and not considered. Dow will hopefully return this week in 2s

Blues disappointing last week so need to bounce back from start. Curnow will tag Bont or Macrae

Cripps needs support and if DC Walsh Martin Kennedy Gibbons step up we win.

Blues by 11 points

Carlton's tall marking power is negated by the wet weather. We'll probably tag Cripps and Docherty and they'll tag Bont. Dogs by a few goals.

A fair bit of rain heading towards the Gold Coast at the moment so not expecting a great spectacle this evening.

Dogs been given no favours with the fixture this week by playing a Sunday night fixture (in likely difficult conditions) and then need to back up on Friday night after a short break. They should win this game by a few goals though, whatever the conditions.

Why is Zac Fisher an emergency? Carlton desperately need another small forward. He’s easily best 22.

Missed a lot of footy and we need Kennedy for some size around the ball and he has been our best in the “reserves” this year. We have enough smaller players.

Fisher will get his chance

Are you enjoying lots of footy at Metricon? It's cold, dark and wet down here in the plaguelands.

im hoping Friday night’s game ess v bulldogs will be a ticketed/fans game.

That is weird do you know why not?
I think they cant clean the stadium in between the double headers so the early games are only literally opened for about 500 people who are qld based full members of the competing teams. And they sit in one section

the second game of a double header or a stand alone game they have most of the sections opened and every second row is left empty and you must keep two empty seats next to you and next group of people.

Did you see the Richmond v Sydney game? It can't be worse than that as a spectacle
