2 interstate teams on a thursday night? 22k is a sensational crowd.
Not considering people (including in WA) haven't been able to go to a game all year.
Apparently the low turnout was because ticket sales were paused due to political pressure in WA- that makes more sense

Did you not read the last bit..."it must be a WA thing." How many games have the Eagles played at home this season??? Now let's see what happens with 17th on the free kick count for the rest of the season. How Collingwood got an armchair ride from the umps in WA tonight is exactly how it looks when watching the Eagles play at home.
Well I guess you aren’t talking about this season seems we haven’t played a game at home yet?

As a neutral supporter I found A lot of those frees that went to Collingwood were completely innocuous and undeserving. They seemed to pay little frees in positions that helped Coll immensely when Geelong were going forward. The most smallest error by a geelong player would be paid but the largest error from a Coll player would be called play on. 21-7 is very bad.

Yeah trying to get tickets was not easy, didn't know price, I couldn't even find a way to buy tickets through the AFL site. Think they only went in sale Tuesday. There was also a bit of confusion about who could go.

There's still concern over here for Corona, some people aren't comfortable going to crowded events.

The weather has been horrid the last few days as well, plus it's a Thursday night with people working tomorrow.

The crowd is a brilliant turnout for footy.

Good game, prob the most enjoyable from a neutrals perspective this year. Pies clearly the better team & 4 goals abt the right margin in the end

Cats fans blaming the umps need to pull their heads in though. Had no bearing on the outcome whatsoever.
Pies got 4 goals from dodgy frees. Geelong missed 2. It had plenty of bearing. 4 frees geelong got were out on the fulls. Remove them and at one point it was 21 frees to 4.
