Blicsavs and Stanley are a solid ruck duo. After so many years in the same team how has it taken so long to pair these 2 up?
You need to add Hawkins to that equation. His ruckwork was textbook stuff

Are you really going to whinge about geelong players getting frees after a game where they only got 7 for an entire match? Talk about living in your own fantasy world.
Not whinging about Geelong getting frees at all. Just wish all players from all teams would go back to playing the game and not trying to umpire the game themselves or influence the umpires with their incessant appealing / pleading. It's become a blight on the game.

Cats just very well organised in their SF/PF, never really allowed their opponents to find fluency. Lions were able to reply for a while but ultimately didn't really fire a shot and retreated to reliance on a bit of magic lift from Neale & Rich as the scoreboard edged away. Disappointing performance from Brisbane, reminded me of the flat feeling after those '96 & '99 PF losses to North, coming in with expectation but ultimately being outclassed.

Hawkins is ridiculous. He’s so strong in the ruck and wins 70% of taps. Wrote him off back in 2013, when he had that back injury against Freo. 7 years later, he’s playing about as good as he has ever.

Ah sh*t, now I have to work out who I hate more for next week. Cotchin, Lynch, Riewoldt, the entire Richmond supporter base or Dangerfield. Might as well be deciding which testicle I want chopped off.

Why would you hate Dangerfield? If Geelong win it's an opportunity to start another Adelaide shitfight thread.

Imagine if he win the Norm Smith too?

What would be a bigger pill to swallow? Danger leading Geelong to a flag or 119?

Actually both teams last night seemed to do it a lot less than has happened in plenty of games this year. The deliberate rule has obviously ramped up the appealing. It’s a rule that needs attention. Too subjective.

Start from scratch. Pridham is right. Now is the perfect time to review everything with the game. Peel back the rules to simple ones where there can be no interpretation. Hand in the back, push or not it's a free. Tackled and have prior, holding the ball regardless of attempt etc.

It’ll never be rid of interpretation , but yep, some things can be simplified.

It wasn't that long ago that Mason Cox was your best shot for goal.
Wasn't your top draft kick in the 2009 draft quite literally Butchering goals like no tomorrow?

Geelong’s defence is slow and our much quicker forwards should have a field day. Expecting Hipwood, Cameron, Coleman, McCarthy, Bailey and Rayner to tear them to shreds. Add in scoreboard contributions from Zorko, McCluggage, Robinson, Berry, Neale, Lyons or McInerney and we will blow them out of the water. We have too many offensive weapons for them. Finally, we won’t be tossing up lollipops as we enter our offensive 50 like Collingwood did. Just as we did against Richmond, expect Geelong to have very few intercept marks in defence. Lions by lots.
What can I say? Someone hacked my account!
