When will we get a decent granny?
Thought this was a good Grand Final. Gripping arm wrestle for 2.5 quarters, then the Demons flicked a switch and played the most dominant quarter and a half we've seen in Grand Final history.

Staggering game, really. Can't recall many like it.

The margin at the end did not really reflect the game. Compare it to 2019 and think that Richmond won by less than 3 goals more than Melbourne this year. The games were completely different, but the margins are not that far apart.

Melbourne dominated early, Footscray came back and looked to be winning, then Melbourne went up a gear and blew the game apart.

It was a good game.

Turning point when caleb dumped gawn on the floor i felt was a cheap shot the dees fired up from then. Was the tinyest player decking the tallest player. Dees said how dare you. Dees tore the dogs apart from that point onwards.
Thought Caleb daniel was lucky not to get reported too.
Was a low act and cost the dogs the cup i think.
Dees ran all over them from that point.
It fired up the Dees.
Petracca said otherwise on TV yesterday.

Darren Burgess (former High Performance at Melbourne) on a podcast said the Daniel/Gawn incident was one of the combination of things that happened that resulted in 100-7, and confirmed it did upset players on the bench.

Burgess also confirmed Gawn was due to come off and once off Gawn said Jackson was going to kill Stef Martin, so Gawn wanted to go back on as a forward after his rest.

If it did fire us up that's great but there was absolutely nothing in it. Gawn put a heap of mayo on it.

No doubt he did put mayo on it and I never said anything should happen like a report or even a free.

But plenty said it was an irrelevant moment.

Someone who was standing next to the players on the bench confirmed it had an impact.

That’s BS.

The Dogs favouritism by the umpires is BS.

They are generally first to the ball and have players who are really fair.

Massive beat up.

lol. yeah, weightman, macrae and hunter ducking, staging and flopping for 2 hours is really fair. All 3 players did it again several times in the grand final. THat's probably why they lost though. Their focus is on the whistle and not the ball. Thats why they got served up.
