It ticks so many metrics of a great mark: it wasn't set up for him increasing the difficulty, he got the sit on the shoulder and a second elevation(from an awkward position), it was courageous coming back with the flight, and was a massive moment in the context of the game. Only thing that wasn't huge was the height but the uniqueness makes up for that.

Also note he launched with his non-preferred leg. As a right footer he usually leaps off his left.

Why would any Adelaide supporter like Jack Riewoldt or Richmond?

Any Crows supporters trying to play 'objective' and 'non bias' are kidding themselves.

Richmond are responsible for their wooden spoon, their reputation being tarnished and got in the way of their premiership.

Josh Jenkins himself spoke of how intimidated the players were coming to Melbourne and trying to get in the way of a 37 year premiership drought. Not just any drought, the drought of THE biggest club in Australian sport. Their admin started pushing for a best of 3 GF after they purchased a seat for the premiership cup before the game. 🤭

Nothing any Adelaide supporter says about Richmond is impartial, it's done with complete and utter resentment and bias.

So just spare me the Crows supporters coming on here and trying to talk 'objectively' about anything Richmond related. 😄

Just say your piece and be authentic about it.

Eh the better team won, I don't hate Richmond. Adelaide's failures are theirs to own.

Nah would have been closer if the crows were a better football team but alas you’re not. Don’t worry though and I mean this in no disrespect but you are the reigning spooners and we’re the reigning champs. Geez it’s quite funny how are clubs trajectory has gone since 2017 isn’t it?

And in 2 years it will be the opposite. We'll be top 8 and possibly higher and you'll be bottom 4-6 for a good few years. Both at significantly different parts of the cycle champ.

Lol. You clowns are completely full of your own crap if you actually believe an opposition club in any way has any power over another club ending up where they do. Losing a host of top players to other clubs, having an overall lack of depth and talent on the field, along with a coach who had no idea how to connect with his players, are the reasons for our drop last year FFS. Grow a brain and take the tickets off yourself.

Watershed. Crows were top of the heap on the morning of 30/9/2017. But Richmond can't claim all the credit for one of the more spectacular falls in football history.

Possibly. We've built on the Geelong model which has allowed them to be around the mark for a decade since their last flag. Our b&f top 10 was a year younger on average than Adelaide's.

Who knows what’s going to happen, you guys might be at the start of an extended period out of the finals, maybe the South Australian Carlton? As for the tigers, you may be right, it might be our turn to spend some years out of the limelight or maybe just maybe we have one last shot in us. Whatever happens the last 4 years will be remembered by every tiger fan for a lifetime.

Yep. The same Geelong model that has ended in zero flags for 10 years. Best of luck with that.

Of course the plan is to improve on that model and pinch our share of flags. What club would seriously turn its nose up at an offer of 67% win rate for the next decade?

Right. Firstly no-one else cares about the tiger thing. We all deep down still think of you as 9th-mond.

And I think if you polled forum members on this you would find many or even most believe Adelaide is a bloody well run club and won't spend long at the bottom. Regardless of a pre-season camp and victorian media-driven crap culture over the last few years. Culture can change quickly. Just ask Collingwood fans, or Brisbane fans. Not many years ago Adelaide were known as having a bloody strong culture and we will again. Our 11 recent re-signings, including many victorian players, is testament to the change back to strong culture we now have, led by Matthew Nicks. Not only a good people manager, but bloody astute and tactical coach.
You should apply to the crows as their media manager, that was some good spin.
I actually like the crows and wish them well, after all they did play a staring role on that magnificent sunny September day in 2017:)
