Big game. The winning team stays in touch with the top 4. The loser can kiss it goodbye. Expect this one to be hot

The Eagles in Perth are one of the hardest games to win in football. This is a huge game and hopefully gets the contest it deserves.

I am a little concerned in the mental/physical fatigue of going Brisbane > Sydney > Perth > Sydney > Perth and the uncertainty and being away from home might affect the group and take a toll. However if they can keep focussed and fresh enough, we should be able to bring a strong game.

If the Eagles bring in their injured players as rumoured that means they will be close to full strength. Could easily win them the game. But then newly returned players might not be ready first up. Interesting game.

I'm hoping for another titanic tussle like in 2019 - that was the best game of the year.

If the Tigers have the nap during play like they have recently the Eagles could pour on the goals. So I'm hoping we are on and rip it apart. But I expect it tough hard and close. On their day close to the 2 best teams - just not so far this year.

5.20 WA, 7.20 Eastern.
AFL Broadcast guide lists it as a Channel 7 game. As an aside that means 5 out of 7 games this weekend will be broadcast FTA nationally.
Saturday 7pm game not being shown in NSW, they get the Sunday 3pm game instead (still 5 total). WA and QLD get both Saturday games, so they get 6/7 for the weekend.

As an aside, hoping Sunday 7pm is a success both on TV and at the ground. Is the perfect timeslot and like Thursday nights could become a well loved primetime slot if it works for the WA clubs.

Have you seen our recent games? We lost to Essendon for God's sake.

Yes for sure.
What would ideal 9 game timeslot be across round? AEST

Thursday 7.40pm
Friday 7.40pm
Saturday 2.10pm, 3.30pm, 7.20pm x2
Sunday 1pm, 3.20pm, 7pm

Pretty much. Would prefer the doubled game to be the 2.10pm to reward the traditional slot. Either that, or have rolling byes so you only have 8 games each week instead of the bye weeks with 5/6 games.

It won’t work for the WA clubs. @520 Sunday start doesn’t work for any club and it’s not reasonable to expect any supporters to get shafted with that time slot any more regularly than once in a blue moon. We have to work/ study the next day just like the rest of the country

Anyway, looking forward to a great game hopefully we can more than match Richmond for 4 quarters.

We get 4.40pm here regularly in VIC and it's not big deal anymore. Much easier to attend than a Friday night at the MCG. Not everyone shares your (or my) experience. Guess we will wait and see how popular it is.

We’ll still get a crowd, always do. But there’ll be many fans with children not going or fans who live outside the metro area who won’t be there because of the time slot and it’s unreasonable to expect anyone to put up with it on a regular basis.

Yeah it's at home, but we lost to Essendon and are severely depleted. Tiges just dispatched of Essendon, but so did Carlton. Sometimes footy feels like a big game of rock paper scissors. Team A beats B, B beats C and C beats A and so on. But yeah, not confident but think if we are hungry enough we may be a chance. May be...hopefully the Tigers have an off day too.
