Not confident on this one, I think the Bulldogs midfield swarm will trouble us

If you do find a way through rebound or general play, your talls could likely trouble us though.

If Martin repeats last week on nic nat. Then dogs will win.

If dogs learn to not kick to McGovern like they did Moore and may the week before they will kick a big score

Can't see us getting up. Dogs are a good side, doesn't help we played Sunday in 38 degrees while they had their feet up for 2 days. Our midfield still lacking Shuey and Yeo will get smashed.

Shuey out is huge, but Kennedy has a better records against us than he does against most teams.
We narrowly win but play Kennedy back into form.

I think we’ll dominate the midfield like last week but the talls at either end are the worry. Assuming our mids can ensure most of the game is played in our forward half, Bruce and Naughton just have to make sure the ball comes the ground at all times. We can’t have a repeat of Darcy Moore last week with McGovern & Barrass.

He kicked 2.2 on the weekend with 1 goal assist and in his game prior to that he kicked 3.4 in a final. I'm not sure he's out of form, he's just not the defining number 1 focal point anymore so for people to expect him to average 3 goals a game when Darling, Allen and Ryan are all getting the ball kicked to them as much as he is, is highly unlikely.

Not sure how this will go. Have tipped us with no confidence purely because it's at Marvel and they are missing some midfielders.

Eagles will look to kick goals on the rebound with their advantage in the air. However if the Martin/English combo can do a similar job on Naitanui as they did on Grundy last week the Dogs should be too strong at home.

Quietly liking the idea of the Eagles using a tagger. They are already depleted in the midfield and it will effectively cancel out having another attacking option. Not a worry for the Dogs with their depth of star mids.

Think it will be an interesting game - Eagles have a weak midfield but strong backline while dogs have strong midfield but weak forward line.
