What numpty decided Carlton on a Friday night was a good idea?
The AFL wanted Essendon v Sydney however the AFLPA refused to allow the players from both teams to have a 5 day break from their last game.

With the Vic lockdown to end on Tuesday, why the fook are we still having home games in Qld? We've had 12 interstate games this year. This is a joke. Fook the AFL and our weak as p1ss management. Try to give a leg up to Sydney of course.

I want to add as a biased fan that this weekend Shannon Hurn will be the first ever Eagle to play 300 games.

Not bad for a South Aussie that looked about 38 when he was first drafted.

What I got from the news is that they're not sure lockdown will end yet.

Maybe some restrictions relaxed, but not anything like opening back up to 'normal'.

Because the lockdown is relaxed in Victoria doesn't mean Queensland will open their border to Victoria. If Swans fly to Melbourne, they can't go back to Queensland without 14 day quarantine.

You have a basic lack of understanding of state border controls and that's why you don't do the AFL programming!

Both Essendon (v Bulldogs) and Sydney (v St Kilda) have a game in Melbourne in round 21...no reason why the Bombers can't host the Swans at Marvel this week. Sydney also fixtured at Marvel (v North Melbourne) the following week too. Essendon play at Gold Coast in round 22...that could be moved to Darwin if Queensland don't relax their rules.

Swans are set to play the Saints in Melbourne next week and Essendon set to play the Dogs in Melbourne next week. No reason why Essendon v Sydney can’t be in Melbourne this week. I sincerely hope the club is lobbying for only 2 interstate games next year as compensation
