4 genuine goals for the game was never going to be enough for Essendon tonight. Their forward line just doesn't look threatening. I think they'd do well to target someone like a Daniher to fill in the missing piece.

Can’t write it off for us, fundamental issue with drafting small bodies for decades.
For Brisbane the extra stoppages generated by the wet aren’t indicative of the way football is being played 9/10 games. So nothing really, except that a win keep finals realistic.

A young inexperienced team up against a hardened bigger bodied top 4 quality team in those conditions at home was only going to end one way.
Losing Ridley early in the game didn’t help either.
No surprises our best 3 players were Merrett, Mcgrath and Hooker, experience counts for everything in those thpes of games and Essendon just don’t have enough of it at the moment.
