To be fair it is midfielders and forwards who lay most the tackles in a game. In isolation it isn't a very good stat to look at for a defender.

North clean up their turnovers they will start winning games like tonight. Hard work is there, ball movement is good, lot of inside 50 looks, lots of promise.

Lets not kid ourselves, the Pies skills were almost as bad, its as bad as the Pies have moved the ball all season and we were still never in it. It will be a winless season as we are unlikely to face a poorer opposition.

I went to this game and North often seemed adrift when trying to exit the D50. The player in possession often had nothing of substance to kick to upfield. They seemed to improve this in the 2nd half and produced a pretty scintillating 3rd quarter but some skill errors and questionable umpiring tapped their momentum. I hope the Roos jag a win soon because the effort is there imo, just not the polish or the spread.
