Sir Doug Nicholls Round Guernsey
In celebration of Sir Doug Nicholls Round, Collingwood’s guernsey will feature a design by Tyson Austin and Troi Ilsley, both emerging Aboriginal artists who are proud Wamba Wamba and Gunditjmara people residing in Naarm (Melbourne) on Wurundjeri country.
The artwork tells the story of the Collingwood Football Club entering a new and exciting chapter. The falling feathers are symbolic of a Magpie shedding its old feathers to be replaced by new ones – reflective of the current changes of the football club. Relatively new appointments of a new president and a senior coach has been a dramatic change for the club, but an exciting period for the club in growing its new feathers and entering a new era.
The club will also continue to shed its past, making way for the next generation to thrive and flourish.
The back of the jumper features a Coolamon providing a safe place for Magpie eggs to hatch and be nurtured. This is symbolic of the new generation waiting to make their mark and take the club into an exciting new direction. It is also symbolic of the club's involvement and support for the Aboriginal community as the club embarks on a new chapter and increased commitment to the community.

Joint cheer squad banner
Collingwood and Fremantle players will join together to run through a single banner created by the Fremantle cheer squad to honour all Stolen Generations People.

Does Freo get angry and bounce back, after their putrid performance against the Suns in the wet? Or was that all they were capable of in the conditions?
The forecast for this week is for another wet weather game and the Pies enjoy traveling to WA. The biggest selection dilemma for Collingwood seems to be whether to drop Begg and bring in Cox. Cox has been historically useless in wet weather, especially when the ball hits the deck, whilst Begg has been getting smashed at the centre bounces but provides more than Cox at ground level. However in last week's VFL game it was reported that:

"Demoted bigman Mason Cox pressed his case for a recall with a dominant display in the ruck for the Magpies in slippery conditions in a 55-point win over Footscray. Cox had 47 hitouts along with 19 disposals including six clearances and seven marks, putting pressure on youngster Aiden Begg's spot in the seniors."

I suspect with the VFL having a bye this week they may give the youngster a rest and bring in Cox. Pendlebury, Ginnivan and potentially Elliot will be welcome inclusions. But I hear Walters and Taberner will be back for Freo.

Pies to get up in a tight one with big Cox.

Pendlebury won't be back this week.

There is a sneaky chance of Fyfe.

Even if it is wet, it won't be the wet tack that it was last week.

Freo by 2 goals.

Pickin pies as an outsider by 15. They traditionally travel very well, the last 2 weeks have looked poor, expect an ontheroad brotherhood mentality, pressure and tackles.

Dockers may possibly be entering a lull after last week's bland performance.

I'm not sure it has anything to do with tradition. Buckley was a risk averse.. park the bus.. let's form an 18 man human pyramid in front of the big sticks.. defensive.. style of coach.. so we were always in it with a chance. Problem with Buckley's coaching.. he coached like that at home as well.. that's why Freo beat us at the G. Melbourne.. on the other hand.. forget about it mate. Too good.

Been pi$$ing down for the last hour. Not likely to stop soon. Freo under Longmuir in the wet have been terrible. Tempted to switch my tip to the Pies.
Don't worry about the rain. The biggest factor is Callum Brown was playing VFL yesterday.
Pies a 5 goal better team when he isn't playing.
