Real incentive for Suns to knock of the best home & away team and end their season on a positive note. Give themselves some confidence in the off season to look at going past 10 or 11 wins in season 2023.

Them Cats will be meowing hard as the sun sets on the Gold Coast on August 13 2022. Geelong will cruise home by 40pts.

Really thought this game was going to be a case of "Suns have to win to keep their season alive, while Geelong are guaranteed a top two spot" but the Suns sheet the bed against the Hawks, and now it's a bit of a dead rubber, so they're less likely to get up for it.

Still like their chances - they've been formidable at home and Geelong don't have a lot to play for.

You don't mess with form and team cohesion this close to finals, nor do you give the opposition hope by showing a chink in the armour. Geelong will be very keen to win and win well.

At home, and if the Suns still have their focus together, it should be a good game, and there is always a chance of an upset...but not a huge chance.

You would hope improvement comes next year for the Suns because their 2nd half has been terrible (again).
As a whole the second half of the season and has been alright, but they've gotten worse and worse as the year has gone on unfortunately.

List is getting there, but Flanders and McPherson should be nowhere near the best 22.
