You would think at this stage of the season and what's at stake from the result for both clubs that the Tiges should be strong favourites to win this.

Percentage doesn't matter given our draw so I dont expect a big win, but 20-40 points could secure finals for us if the Saints lose. I reckon we'd want to wrap it up pretty quickly and take the pressure off next week if we can.

If Richmond can’t win this game they shouldn’t be playing finals.

Hawthorn have the poorer list and 10 players already ruled out for 2022.

I totally agree but they did say that after the loss to North & the choke to GC so nothing is guaranteed with this Richmond team in 22.

Make that 12, with Lewis and CJ now also ruled out for 2022.

How many of them are in the best team? Wingard, Lewis, CJ, Frost. Any others?
About 7.
Frost, Bramble, Worpel, Wingard, CJ, Lewis and Reeves.

Lewis ruled out for year? I thought he was a chance reading the injury report on Tuesday.

CJ managed to get injured while suspended. Lewis' knee keeps filling with fluid and they figured better to rest him and let him be fully recovered for the pre-season and focus on next year.

Means that the retiring guys could get farewell games. Plus 2 more weeks for the guys on the cusp to show whether they deserve a new contract.

Also means Hardwick and Bevo get closer to finals.

On top of that, I just can't see what would rally the Hawks this week to an unexpected upset. Richmond would have to be well off the boil and the Hawks would need to bring everything, which I just don't see the likelihood of.

If anything I think they're more likely to cause an upset next week for McEvoy's final game down in Tassie against a dog's side that possibly could be out of finals race. At least that would be something to get the group up.

This week I think Richmond have too much to play for and Hawks too little for a big upset. I reckon they'd be happy with the development this year and there's an accepted long term view. They might even be able to play themselves into a better draft pick too.

Osho

We haven't changed our position.

I seem to recall several games bw these two clubs in which Tiges exert mostly control and get a lead, only for a late Hawks rally to close the margin.

Tiges playing freely with speed and pressure, surely they can't lose it, but Hawks seem to be able to compete with them, and in this season of Tigers going limp when the missus is really wanting it, and desiring it, well, I reckon it could be extremely close.
