Essendon would want to finish their year on a positive note, but I don't think they'll win this one.

This really depends on how many players (if any) Richmond decides to rest.

Dons make do okay. Tiges will not be as earnest as last week. Dons will be better. Could even be a boilover. You heard it here first.

I'm not really sure how much each side has to play for. Richmond has secured finals, won't be a home final either way, and unsure if it benefits us to play the 5th or 6th side depending on who it is.

It's a bit of a dead rubber.

If the Bombers have completely checked out, Richmond could legit stroll to a 100 point win. If the Bombers want to have a crack either for the coach or the last week of the year, then it could be a good game if they have nothing to lose.

Either way, you can't really see Richmond losing unless the Bombers have a sacked coach bounce to play for.

Tigers are a better team, of course, and you expect them to win in all normal circumstances.

There are really only two variables.

1. Essendon sack the coach and an interim coach sits in. The old first time coach upset, an always plus in AFL footy.

2. Tigers rest a bunch of players and the ones who do play enjoy a little bruise free footy in a dead rubber before finals.

Logic says Tigers by plenty, but a couple outs for Essendon. Ultimately though, this game doesn't matter a damn.
