Dangerfield was totally ineffective, he cannot kick on the run. Cameron never got out of first gear. Atkins turns it over with his kicking, Narkle fumbled, Stewart dropped marks and Stanley must have been injured, smashed in the ruck and he couldn't run. Tomahawk was good and kept us in the game.

Hawkins is quite amazing.

Still playing (and looking) like he did in his early 20’s.

As an unashamed fan of his the most satisfying thing about his career has been how bankable he has become for basically a decade given that the first 5 years of his career, the narrative was based around how the good Tom turned up very inconsistently

Too good saints. Felt like we didn’t make the most of our periods when we were in control, saints couldn’t have made more of theirs, they were fantastic

We find ourselves in an odd situation because with a couple of exceptions (Miers is one) it seems to be different players who are down each week. Cameron was down this week, so was Stewart, stanley has made a career oit of it but he picked a bad week to be down, danger was off the boil, Hawkins and Selwood, sadly, are the two most consistent contributors we have. Well maybe not so sad in Hawkins’ case as he’s been the league’s most consistent tall forward for years but Selwood isn’t the player he was but is still our most reliable midfielder
Jez is a flat tracker for the cats. Discuss…

His bad is worse than Hawkins and he’s inconsistent but flat tracker is not fair, it’s a simple term someone made up (in footy parlance at least) because they were too lazy to bother defining the issue itself.

He won us a game we had no right to win at the mcg against Collingwood and was among the best on ground the whole way through an interstate trip last week albeit against a rubbish opponent.
