Is Mark Harvey involved in any official capacity other than knocking back pots with the coteries ?
Seemed quite relaxed and enjoying a beer as the towel was yet again being thrown in on the field to the amusement of Luke Parker and everyone else watching the rudderless surrender …

Who was the last team to get through an entire AFL game laying only 30 tackles? University?

Forget gameplan or talent. That's a problem with effort, nothing else.

Last night was not the first time they’ve dogged it.
They are known to throw the towel in when things heat up.
Zero on field leadership.
Rutten can’t drop them all to the reserves but as sure as the sun coming up in the morning, he’ll be the one to cop the cold steel in the back and the charade will continue on its merry way …

There is a reason why the best captains are usually hated a bit, Joel Selwood being a great example.

Heppell is just not a captain. Wants to be liked too much.

Hepp’s got his 200 in the bank now and they can wheel him off into the sunset at seasons end but the fact is there’s not one player ready or fit to lead this club.
What a list build 🤣🤣

One of the mid range Hun journos said pre-season that the Cox/Perkins/Reid draft is the best since Roughy/Buddy/Lewis.

Even if we suspend reality for a minute and say that's close to correct - the coach, supporting players and system the Hawks recruits walked into is a million miles away from what 'amazing runner for a 200cm player' Cox & co have right now

They’ve flooded the media with these propaganda merchants who continually feed the deranged cult with this type of garbage.
No one is ever held publicly accountable and so the cycle continues …

Shiel just looks like he deadset doesn’t want to be out there.
I’ve never seen a more uninterested, miserable looking player.

Hopefully his business pursuits bring him more joy …
Spot on. Even last week in there comeback win against Hawthorn where every player was celebrating like they had just won the flag he was looking like he was just told he had to have his leg amputated.

Does Merrett really do the hard yards ?
Is he going to be able to eyeball the team and demand more ?
Got back from syndemosis quicker than expected by weeks and played a blinder.

Was also voted out of the leadership group by the bunch of squibs we had back in 2018/19 for being too vocal/demanding of his teammates. That alone should have seen him promoted.

Kid absolutely has captain in him
And I reckon he signed for 6 knowing heppell bows out and he takes the lead

I ****ing hope he upsets some apple carts.
Led us in 2016 for a bit too. Call should have been made then tbh.
21yo captain with hooker as his VC.

Sliding doors moment.
Hindsight, letting hurley and heppell go via FA and banking picks 2 and 3 might have been an idea too.
