Cotchin only missed 3 weeks with a broken clavicle. His body held up well this year compared to the couple before.
Jack will play a role at worst.
We always struggle badly without prestia - Taranto would be a huge help for him.
We've debuted more kids than any other team in the last 2 seasons any found half a dozen very good youngsters.

Natural improvement in the kids and more focus on winning clearance rather than our dynasty style of winning it back instead and I dont see why we can't improve again on this season.

lots of Similarities to the Lions of ‘05, but we just lost player after player and then spent 15 years in the wilderness

Everyone is just going on about the scoring fiasco. but Richmond didn't lose because of that, they lost because five defenders somehow either couldn't mark or spoil properly and let the ball spill almost comically to Daniher. I have watched that footage so many times and I still don't understand how it happened, it is like all five players suddenly lost the ability to play.
Richmond lost because of the dodgy goal review. Fact.

In the way the game played out they also lost because of the dodgy holding free at the end of the first qtr that gifted Hipwood a shot after the siren which he goaled from.

The bs 50 against baker was another rubbish free.

The reverse holding call against Lynch late in the game was another.

The list goes on and on.

Stating the obvious you think , but we got 3 🏆🏆🏆 to show for it now time to rejuvenate.

It was obviously a point. Perhaps the process to get there was wrong, this league can be amateur, no doubt.

I’m just thankful that a bad umpiring decision (likely a guess as well) didn’t ruin another final.

Obviously a hard decision and the goal umpire most likely wasn’t sure and went with the more likely result of a goal - as you would probably expect Lynch to kick it from there

Goal umpire called a goal. You are making it up to say he was just guessing. The call was a goal. It was one of the fastest reversal decisions of the season. It took moments. Farce.

That’s because anyone who passed grade 10 maths knows that if two 90 degree angles show an object in 3d space at the same place, that’s where it is.

That’s why the review took mere moments. :)

So now you know that Lynch’s goal attempt (which came from an erroneous free kick against Daniel Rich) was a point, you should be able to sleep easier.

Happy to help.

They don't have the technology. Regardless of what you want to believe.

In many scoring circumstances they do not have the technology but ironically they have exactly the right technology for the rare occurrence of a ball going right over the post.

Two synced cameras from different angles are all that is needed to triangulate.

:)

At the end of the day, you have gone all in on the soft call of a goal umpire that was terribly out of position and who also held deep suspicions that it went over the post. The ARC, using proper geometry were able to confirm.

So here you are, two days later, whinging that the Lions weren’t robbed by having one point declared as six.

Sad. :(

The worst thing about the arc farce is we are now left with Melbourne to walk all over the lions as they usually do in a lacklustre affair. Instead of having 90,000 at the g to see the last 2 premiers go at it.
It's crazy to think that Brisbane have been a top 4 side for the vast majority of the last 3 seasons and were SAVED from elimination at HOME by a team that missed finals last year and only just made it this year.

Brisbane are s**t, we should have won easily instead of relying on the afl to not * it up. They’ll get pumped next week but will hail their season a success and extend fagans contract.

Haha, Melbourne kicked 9.22 vs your mob and you still lost comfortably.

Let’s not pretend you’d be providing a tantalising contest vs them next week. Were you hoping they’d kick 4.27?

They too know they aren't in good shape. Without the luck of the other night they'd all be arguing over whether Fagan has a Plan B in finals, can't coach in finals, is he the man to take them to a flag, would Hinkley be better at Brisbane...

That was the last time we lost by more than a goal. Anyway doesn’t matter now but I’m sure we would have provided a better game than what the lions will dish up.
